Adesuwa Udo Urges Nigerians to Re-elect Tinubu, Back APC Candidates

 By Genesis Ogiri

Ambassador Princess Adesuwa Ogechi Udo, National Director General of TARA Renewed Hope Agenda and Initiative, has called on Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general election, advocating political continuity as a strategic imperative for consolidating the administration’s policies, programmes and achievements.

Amb. Adesuwa made the appeal in Abuja on Wednesday during the inauguration of Renewed Hope Youth Ambassadors for Tinubu/Shettima at the Nigerian National Merit Award House, Maitama, where she underscored the significance of sustained political commitment, grassroots mobilisation and youth participation in advancing the governing party’s electoral agenda.

The political advocate maintained that President Tinubu should be allowed to complete his constitutionally permissible eight-year tenure, arguing that continuity in leadership would provide the administration with the opportunity to consolidate its policy direction, strengthen ongoing reforms and translate its governance priorities into more enduring developmental outcomes.

"She argued that the consolidation of existing initiatives requires sustained leadership and policy consistency, cautioning, in principle, against disruptions that could undermine the implementation of programmes already initiated by the administration. She urged Nigerians to assess the government’s trajectory and make informed electoral decisions in determining the country’s political direction.

Beyond the presidential contest, Udo called on the electorate to extend its support to APC candidates across the various elective positions, emphasising the importance of party cohesion, coordinated political mobilisation and a broad-based electoral strategy in strengthening the party’s prospects at the polls.

Addressing the newly inaugurated youth ambassadors, she highlighted the strategic role of young people in democratic participation, political communication and grassroots engagement. She urged them to deploy their networks and organisational capacities towards voter sensitisation, peaceful political advocacy and the mobilisation of eligible citizens to participate in the electoral process.

Udo’s appeal also underscored the growing significance of youth-oriented political movements in contemporary electoral campaigns, where public engagement, community outreach and digital communication have become important instruments for shaping political narratives and strengthening connections between political organisations and the electorate.

Beyond her political engagements, the ambassador is the founder and president of EL’s Empowerment Foundation, a non-governmental charitable organisation focused on empowering women, youths, children, persons with disabilities and older citizens. She is also involved in the creative industry as an actress, filmmaker, scriptwriter, director, motivational speaker and cultural ambassador, alongside her philanthropic activities.

"She expressed optimism about the prospects of the Renewed Hope political agenda, urging Nigerians to support the APC in the forthcoming general election. Her appeal comes amid continuing political conversations over governance, policy continuity, electoral accountability and the direction of Nigeria’s democratic development.
