Tinubu 2027: Ambassador Kate Opara-Ekeh Tasks Women on Grassroots Mobilisation at APC Campaign Council Inauguration

ABUJA — Chief Ambassador (Dr.) Mrs. Princess Kate Opara-Ekeh, Grand Patroness of the Tinubu Support Group and the Office of the National Grassroots Mobilisation for President Tinubu 2027, has called on Nigerian women to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Opara-Ekeh made the call in Abuja during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, where she urged women and other political stakeholders to strengthen their engagement with communities and communicate the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration to the electorate.

She identified the removal of the petrol subsidy, road infrastructure development, the student loan scheme and other infrastructure projects as notable areas of the administration’s policy agenda, urging supporters to highlight these initiatives in their engagements with Nigerians ahead of the forthcoming election.

The APC support group leader emphasised the strategic importance of women in grassroots political mobilisation, noting that their influence within families, communities, markets and professional associations could contribute significantly to political awareness and electoral participation.

She therefore charged women’s groups to intensify their advocacy efforts, organise community-level engagements and sustain voter sensitisation across the country as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to her, effective grassroots mobilisation requires commitment, coordination and consistent communication, particularly in reaching voters at the community level and explaining the policies and programmes being advanced by the administration.

Opara-Ekeh further encouraged members of the support group to remain united and proactive in their mobilisation activities, stressing the importance of constructive engagement and sustained public outreach in building awareness around the government’s initiatives.

The inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council marks a step in the party’s political preparations ahead of the 2027 election, with party stakeholders and support groups expected to play important roles in organising supporters and engaging voters.

She reaffirmed her commitment to mobilising support for President Tinubu, urging women leaders and grassroots political organisations to sustain their participation in the political process as the country moves towards the next general election.
