ABUJA — Queen Linda Turner, Founder of the Mind Wellbeing Africa Initiative, has been honoured among the 100 Global Impact Personalities in recognition of her humanitarian interventions, visionary leadership and sustained commitment to initiatives with transformative implications for communities and humanity.

Turner received the prestigious honour on September 30, 2026, at an event held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, where distinguished personalities were celebrated under the Global Impact platform for leadership, service and contributions whose relevance extends beyond geographical and institutional boundaries.

Her emergence among the distinguished cohort reflects a career trajectory increasingly defined by human-centred advocacy, strategic intervention and the deployment of leadership as an instrument for social transformation, particularly through initiatives seeking to address wellbeing, human dignity and community resilience.

The citation accompanying the award commended Turner for her “exceptional leadership, visionary thinking, and unwavering commitment” to creating measurable and sustainable impact. It further recognised her dedication to humanity and the advancement of global progress, describing her contribution as an inspiration for transformation and hope.

A significant dimension of Turner’s humanitarian footprint is her work through the Mind Wellbeing Africa Initiative, which seeks to promote a more enlightened and compassionate understanding of wellbeing, challenge stigma and facilitate constructive conversations around emotional and psychological wellbeing across African communities.

Through the initiative, Turner has continued to advance an advocacy framework anchored on human dignity, resilience, awareness and social inclusion, while encouraging individuals, families and communities to cultivate supportive environments capable of strengthening wellbeing and improving the quality of human relationships.

The convener of the event, Precious Osagie, lauded Turner for her humanitarian disposition and commitment to creating positive change, noting that the recognition reflects the importance of celebrating individuals whose influence is translated into purposeful service and tangible contributions to society.

Reacting to the honour, Mrs. Turner expressed appreciation to the organisers, describing the recognition as both a privilege and a renewed responsibility to deepen her humanitarian engagements. She said the honour would strengthen her resolve to advance the Mind Wellbeing Africa Initiative, amplify conversations around mind wellbeing and contribute to interventions that promote dignity, resilience, inclusion and sustainable human development.

Turner further dedicated the recognition to the individuals, communities and partners whose support has strengthened her advocacy, stressing that enduring global impact is built through collective responsibility, strategic collaboration and a commitment to solutions capable of outliving individual platforms. Her recognition among the 100 Global Impact Personalities therefore provides another platform for her humanitarian vision to gain wider visibility while reinforcing the imperative of leadership that converts influence into purposeful action and sustainable impact.

The recognition, therefore, transcends a ceremonial accolade for Turner, serving as a significant affirmation of a humanitarian trajectory anchored on advocacy, human dignity and sustainable community impact. Her emergence among the 100 Global Impact Personalities further underscores the evolving meaning of global influence—one measured not merely by visibility, but by the capacity to inspire hope, mobilise collective action and advance interventions capable of leaving a lasting imprint on humanity.
