ABUJA — Engr. Andrew Adama, Chief Executive Officer of Andreams Homes and Properties Limited, has been appointed an Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), in recognition of his leadership in the real estate sector, entrepreneurial contributions and growing connections with peacebuilding, social cohesion and societal development.
The prestigious appointment was announced in Abuja during the National Stakeholders’ Security Dialogue organised to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Police Cooperation, bringing together stakeholders from government, security agencies, civil society organisations and other critical sectors of society.
The dialogue, held under the theme, “Policing for Peace: Building Synergy for a Safer Nigeria,” provided a strategic platform for stakeholders to deliberate on stronger institutional collaboration, community engagement, dialogue and collective action towards addressing security challenges and promoting a safer Nigeria.
IAWPA said its Eminent Peace Ambassador Award is reserved for individuals whose work demonstrates measurable societal impact, independent leadership and alignment with global peace and development priorities, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Association stressed that the honour is strictly merit-based and is not conferred on the basis of affiliation or ceremonial participation, but on the substance, scale and sustainability of documented contributions to society.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Andreams Homes and Properties Limited, Engr. Andrew Adama has established a leadership presence in the real estate sector, a field closely connected to housing, land development, community relationships and economic growth. His recognition underscores the importance of responsible leadership within the private sector as a contributor to social stability, community development and peaceful coexistence.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Adama’s leadership relationships and connections across different segments of society provide an avenue for dialogue, collaboration and positive engagement. His emergence as an Eminent Peace Ambassador therefore reflects the potential of influential business leaders to leverage their networks and platforms in advancing peacebuilding and sustainable development.
The appointment places Engr. Andrew Adama among distinguished personalities recognised by IAWPA for leadership and contributions considered relevant to the broader objectives of peacebuilding, responsible citizenship and sustainable development. The honour also represents a renewed responsibility to deploy his professional experience, leadership influence and strategic relationships towards promoting peace, unity and social stability.
Speaking on the honour, Engr. Andrew Adama expressed appreciation to IAWPA for the recognition, describing the appointment as both a privilege and a renewed responsibility to promote peace, unity and positive societal development. He said the honour would further encourage him to support initiatives that foster peaceful coexistence, responsible citizenship and stronger collaboration among stakeholders.
IAWPA International Spokesman, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nkweke, said the stakeholders’ dialogue was designed to strengthen peace, security and sustainable development through advocacy, diplomacy and strategic partnerships among government institutions, security agencies, civil society organisations and community stakeholders.
IAWPA International Director, Prof. Chidi Ehiriodo, congratulated Engr. Andrew Adama on the recognition and urged him to continue deploying his leadership, professional experience and strategic networks in support of peacebuilding, social stability and sustainable development in Nigeria.
