Prof. Prince Michael Ikupolati  Bags  2023  Dr. Kwame Nkrumah  Outstanding Merit Award .

The Dr. Kwame Nkrumah outstanding merit award for excellence in Leadership and Outstanding Contribution to humanity was presented to the  Prof. Ikupolati Michael, the professor of insurance and risk Management. He is currently an external examiner to the department of business Administration, Bingham University, Abuja.

In a grand ceremony held in Abuja on Tuesday, at the National Merit Award House Maitama FCT-Abuja.

Prof. Mike is a fellow of several  institutes , Chartered insurance institutes London, Chartered insurance institute of Nigeria; institute of Management and fellow, faculty of Risk Management of Nigeria etc.

The award was instituted in honour of former President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who was a proponent of African unity and Pan Africanism.

Prof. Mike, in his response, an elated awardee, expressed satisfaction and thanked  the Institute for  fishing him out, describing the award as special. " He said Dr.Kwame krumah's institute is a Pan -Africa organization, therefore, it is a welcome development , motivation and an avenue  to do more, he added".

According to him it was a feat achieved based on merit and devoid of bias. " I thank you for recognizing my efforts, this award will find a special place in my heart because it is an award that humbles me", he said. He pledge to be a good ambassador of the virtue in which Dr. Krumah represent, he promising to give all the necessary support to the best of his ability to promote the leadership legacy of the late icon.

While addressing the journalists, an astute Researcher and Professor of leadership, Prof. Mike Ikupolati attributes the pervasive poverty and insecurity in Africa  to wrongful selection methods of leaders.  

He maintained that the growing problems of Nigeria and African continent is one," leadership" adding that if we got it right in leadership every other things will be normal. What we called in Nigeria as problems are not,  there are just mere  symptoms which can be handled.

He expressed believe that the current administration with renewed Hope agenda will deliver its  mandate. The vision of Mr. President's administration will change the country in due time.

Tuesday NEWSWAY Africa gathered that, Prof.Mike charged the Youths to express determination in their pursuit. He said determination is key to  success in life, they are things that are urgent and others are important, therefore, set your goals. The different between a successful man and unsuccessful man is in the usage of time.

The event, beyond its celebratory nature, served as a testament to prof.Mike ’s pursuit of leadership quality  and positive character . As the Nation craves progress in leadership professor Ikupolati  Mike ’s award stands as a beacon, inspiring future generations and encouraging a shift toward international standards in the realm of leadership and management .

The event was not only a platform to honor Professor Mike but also featured side attractions , adding to the beautification of the remarkable ceremony as many dignitaries discribed him as an embodiment of good virtue, epitome of good character and a leader per excellence.
