The Prestigious Kings College British American Institute (KCBA) has bestowed awards to dignified Nigerians for playing critical roles in excellence, Humanitarian services, development, and sustainability in the country.
The honors is part of the institute’s contribution to commending leaders who have positively performed in their areas of jurisdiction.
The heroic event which took place at the National Merits Award House Maitama FCT- Abuja witnessed captain of Industries, professionals and decision makers from the four walls of this country.
The key indices of the awards lies on excellence in good governance, commitment to social welfare, Government & Politics, Corporate Sector, and Social Sector as well as Philanthropical dispositions of the awardees in the society.
Speaking with journalists, the chancellor, Kings College American Institute, Prof Paul Godwin said “the essence of this award is to recognize their high performance and unique management skills to boost the enthusiasm of the awardees to do more.”
Prof. Godwin explained that the parameters employed in selecting the awardees showed that they were instrumental to development and progress both in their states and national level.
A list of the awardees were Honourable Dr. OYEDOKUN Timothy the Executive Chairman of Ogbomosho South Local Government, Oyo State who emerged as the recipient of the highly coveted “Most Outstanding Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane letters .
He noted that his tenure as Caretaker Chairman has brought alot of transformation initiatives that has positive impacts on the lives of people.
According to him under the leadership of OYEDOKUN the local government has experienced significance advancements in rural development, peace and conflict resolution programs coupled with socioeconomic growth.
"His commitment to transparency , accountability has set a benchmark for effective local governance. He is also a Member of the Design Technology and Management Society International (South Africa) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Criminology and Penology Alumni, he stressed.
Another awardee was HON. Dr. ALABI Kolade David, the Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council in Lagos State who doubles as the Chairman of Conference 57,
He is also the current National
President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in the country.
Secondary education at Igbobi College in Lagos, he continued on to Lagos State University, Ojo, where he received his first degree in law.
He then enrolled in the Nigeria Law School. He obtained his master's degrees; LLM and Masters in Public and International Affairs from the reputed University of Lagos-Akoka.
He is a well-known, prolific, and a wise administrator who has a keen awareness of the needs of his people and commitment to grassroots service. He is charitably dispose in his service.
Kolade David's integrity and transparency as a Servant Leader have once again been demonstrated by this creative example of accountability and an open-door policy.
He was appointed, among other things, to the National Steering Committees for
Agenda 2020–2050 and the development of the National Development Plan (2021–2025)
The narratives of ALGON have been re-engineered to be more focused and to
incorporate the best practices as obtained in sister associations like the United Cities and Local Governments - Africa (UCLG-Africa), where he currently serves as an Executive Member and represents West Africa and Board member of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum.

University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) in 2015. He has an honorary award, Doctor
of humane letters from Logos University, California U.S.A in the year 2015.
Also appointed a United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador by The
International Association of World Peace Advocate (IAWPA) in 2023. He has
also worked/served in both public and private sector.
As a chairman, he built 11 kilometers of asphalt roads , rehabilitated and equipped hospitals in
seven communities, he sunk nine boreholes in nine
communities.
He built houses for some homeless
people.
He gave
scholarship to many less privilege ones, paid WAEC and JAMB fees for many
indigent students. He encouraged excellence among our young ones in school
by building Public E- Library and also gave grant to some of them. He built skill acquisition centers, instituted football tournaments to curb youth restiveness,

Military, Nigeria Police, Civil Service Both at Local Government, state and
Federal Level
Over 50 youth sponsored in Learning Trades, Skill Acquisition of Different Skills and Many given Scholarships, Primary, Secondary
and Tertiary School .
Management/Political Science from Enugu state University of Science andTechnology.
He went into private business and established Stasonic Surgical Ltd, a world
class Medical, Laboratory and Scientific Equipment marketing company that
has blazed many trails in thindustry.
In 2016, His Excellency Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, having considered his sterling qualities and doggedness, appointed him as the Transition Committee Chairman
of Awgu Local Government Area and later was elected the substantive Executive Chairman, a position he held till 2019 and was later appointed as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Executive Governor of Enugu State.
He is a Philanthropist per excellence, having empowered many in his
Local Government Area
He holds the Chieftaincy title of "Atu Ogbaku" and he is happily married with
four Children.
