Muslim World League Conference: “We Are One, We Want to Tackle Insecurity, Economic Challenges” — Salisu Bin Saleh

ABUJA — Salisu Bin Saleh has described the ongoing Muslim World League International Conference in Abuja as a platform for promoting unity and collective action towards addressing insecurity and economic challenges confronting Nigeria.

Speaking with NEWSWAY AFRICA reporters on the sidelines of the conference, Salisu said the gathering had provided an opportunity for Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, government officials and other stakeholders to come together, exchange ideas and seek practical solutions to the challenges facing the country.

“We are one. We want to be one, and we want to tackle issues of insecurity and economic challenges,” he said, stressing the need for cooperation and unity among stakeholders in confronting the challenges.

The conference, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, brought together Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, government officials and other prominent stakeholders to deliberate on peace, security, religious harmony, peaceful coexistence and sustainable socio-economic development. The conference was organised by the Muslim World League (MWL) in collaboration with Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS Nigeria).

Salisu urged religious leaders and other stakeholders to strengthen dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding, stressing that unity was essential to addressing insecurity and economic difficulties. He expressed optimism that the conference would promote greater collaboration and contribute to efforts to build a more peaceful, secure and prosperous Nigeria.
