Muslim World League Conference 2026 Will Benefit Nigeria, Focus on Security — Dr Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo

ABUJA — The Chairman, Council of Ulama of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Nigeria, Dr Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo, has said the 2026 Muslim World League International Conference will benefit Nigeria, particularly through its focus on security, peace and peaceful coexistence.

Dr Jalo Jalingo said the international security conference provides an important platform for religious leaders and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop practical approaches to strengthening peaceful coexistence, security and mutual understanding. He said the focus of the conference on security would make its outcomes particularly beneficial to Nigeria.

He noted that bringing together Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders and other stakeholders would provide an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and greater cooperation in addressing the security challenges confronting the country.

The conference, organised by the Muslim World League (MWL) in collaboration with Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS Nigeria), is being held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, with discussions centred on security, peace, religious harmony, peaceful coexistence and sustainable socio-economic development.

Dr Jalo Jalingo expressed optimism that the deliberations would produce useful recommendations and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, stressing that the knowledge and ideas generated from the gathering could support Nigeria’s efforts to build a more secure, peaceful and prosperous society.
