ABUJA — Hope Raisers Global Foundation, under the leadership of its Founder, Ambassador Angonimi David-Imeh, has successfully concluded the 2026 edition of the Summer Splash AI STEM Education Project in Waru, Abuja, following four weeks of intensive learning, creativity, innovation and meaningful engagement with children and other beneficiaries.
The project commenced with an opening ceremony that provided the children with an opportunity to take centre stage and dramatise a storyline inspired by their personal experiences, realities, dreams and understanding of the world around them. The organisers said the creative presentation reflected the project's commitment to giving children a platform to express themselves while building confidence and imagination.
For four weeks, facilitators engaged the beneficiaries through interactive learning sessions, practical activities and STEM-focused exercises designed to stimulate curiosity and innovation. The children were encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas and develop a deeper understanding of how science, technology, engineering and mathematics can be applied to real-life challenges.
The initiative also challenged the participants to critically examine some of the problems confronting their community and consider how they could contribute to finding solutions. Through the sustained interface between the facilitators and beneficiaries, the children were encouraged to see themselves not merely as learners but as potential innovators and agents of positive change.
Speaking on the impact of the programme, the foundation emphasised the importance of creating learning environments where children can combine knowledge with creativity and practical thinking. The leadership and commitment of Ambassador Angonimi David-Imeh were also noted as instrumental to the successful implementation of the four-week project.
The closing ceremony offered the beneficiaries an opportunity to showcase what they had learned throughout the programme. After rehearsing their scripts and preparing their presentations, the children displayed their creativity and confidence, providing a fitting celebration of their growth, learning and achievements during the project.
Beyond the academic and practical lessons, the programme also created meaningful relationships between the children, facilitators and organisers. The team described the farewell as emotional, noting that four weeks of learning, laughter, shared experiences, corrections and celebrations had created a strong bond, with the Waru community gradually becoming a place that felt like home.
The excitement reached its peak during a memorable moment when the children jumped, shouted and celebrated with unrestrained joy. The organisers described the moment as one of the highlights of the programme, saying the children's happiness demonstrated the positive experience created through the initiative and the lasting memories built during the four weeks.
The Summer Splash AI STEM Education Project 2026 was consequently described as a laudable, commendable and highly recommendable initiative, particularly for its focus on empowering children through education, innovation, creativity and technology. As Hope Raisers Foundation bid farewell to Waru, the organisers expressed confidence that the lessons and ideas planted during the programme would inspire the beneficiaries to dream bigger, implement their ideas and contribute meaningfully to the development of their community.
