Amb. Dr. Princess Victoria Ibokette Inspires Model Secondary School Graduates, Marks Birthday with Students

ABUJA — Ambassador Dr. Princess Victoria Ibokette, FICRPC, FICSP, D.Peace, has charged graduating students of Model Secondary School, Maitama, Abuja, to embrace intellectual discipline, spiritual grounding and a renewed mindset as they advance into the next phase of their lives.

Ibokette, who was honoured as the Mother of the Day, delivered an inspirational address at the school’s 2026 Annual Graduation Ceremony and Party held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Hall of Fame, Model Secondary School, Maitama. The occasion also provided an opportunity for the school community to celebrate her birthday alongside the graduating students.

Addressing the outgoing 
SS3 students, the Ambassador described graduation as more than the culmination of an academic journey, saying it represents a significant transition into a new phase of responsibility, opportunity and destiny. She urged the graduates to approach the future with courage, vision, resilience and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Drawing from Romans 12:2, Ibokette underscored the transformative power of a renewed mind, cautioning the students against allowing fear, negative influences, societal pressures or narratives of limitation to circumscribe their aspirations. She encouraged them to guard their minds and remain anchored in God’s Word, knowledge and purposeful reflection.

She further challenged the graduates to perceive themselves not merely as prospective job seekers but as emerging solution providers, innovators and future leaders capable of creating value and contributing meaningfully to society. Referencing the biblical experiences of Joseph, David and Daniel, she urged them to transcend circumstances through faith, wisdom, perseverance and excellence.

The Ambassador also emphasised the inseparable relationship between faith and responsible action, charging the students to be intentional about their words, decisions and conduct. She stressed that positive aspirations must be reinforced by discipline, preparation, diligence and the courage to translate convictions into constructive action.

Ibokette urged the Class of 2026 to deploy their education, talents and creativity towards positive transformation in their families, professions, communities and the nation. She reminded them that their emergence into the wider society comes with a responsibility to become individuals of character, competence and purposeful influence.

Concluding her address, the Ambassador congratulated the graduates and urged them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence and destiny, declaring: “Arise. Renew your mind. And go shine!” The ceremony also became a memorable occasion as the school management, teachers, parents and students joined in celebrating her birthday and appreciating her presence as Mother of the Day.
