Accolades as Abdullahi Ogwu Sunday Emerges Fellow of Chartered Institute of HR Management

ABUJA — Accolades have continued to trail the emergence of Abdullahi Ogwu Sunday, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management (FCIHRM), following his conferment as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management, Nigeria.

The recognition was conferred on Sunday at the Institute’s 2026 Annual Conference and Induction Ceremony, held at the Nigeria Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, where human resources professionals, practitioners and stakeholders converged to deliberate on contemporary workplace dynamics and the future of human resources management in Nigeria.

Speaking after the conferment, Sunday said he was elated to have attained this significant height in his professional career, describing the fellowship as a major milestone that has further reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the ethics, values and professional standards of the human resources profession.

He expressed appreciation to the Institute for the recognition, noting that the fellowship came with greater responsibility to deploy his knowledge and professional experience towards effective staff management, workplace efficiency and institutional development.

Sunday also charged his professional colleagues and other practitioners to embrace continuous learning and professional development, urging them to upgrade their knowledge and competencies to remain relevant and responsive to the rapidly changing demands of human resources management.

He commended the Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management, Nigeria, for its commitment to capacity building, professional advancement and the promotion of ethical standards within the profession.

The annual conference provided a platform for HR professionals and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, examine emerging workplace trends and explore innovative approaches to human capital development and organisational effectiveness.

Abdullahi Ogwu Sunday, FCIHRM, a staff member of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NBRDA), said the fellowship would further inspire him to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of sound human resources practices and uphold the integrity of the profession.
