Accolade as Muhammad Bello Bags ILMMD-UK Fellowship

ABUJA — The Information Technology Director of the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Nigeria (IBFIN), Muhammad Bello, has been conferred with a fellowship award by the International Leadership Manpower and Management Development (ILMMD-UK) in recognition of his professional accomplishments, leadership qualities and commitment to continuous learning and development.

The fellowship was conferred on Bello on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Nigeria Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, at a ceremony attended by stakeholders, professionals and other dignitaries who gathered to witness the conferment and celebrate the achievement.

Bello, who is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Security and Privacy at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), said the recognition represented an important milestone in his professional journey. He noted that his academic and professional engagements had exposed him to valuable knowledge which he was determined to translate into practical solutions and meaningful contributions to society.

The IT Director said he remained committed to putting the knowledge acquired into practice, particularly in the areas of information technology, information security and institutional development. He maintained that professional advancement should not end with the acquisition of certificates, but should translate into measurable value, innovation and positive impact.

Bello also called on the institute to intensify efforts towards creating greater awareness and opportunities for the younger generation, noting that early exposure to knowledge, technology and professional development would better prepare young people to participate effectively in the emerging digital economy.

The fellowship, according to Bello, would further strengthen his resolve to pursue excellence, expand his knowledge and contribute to the development of technology-driven institutions. The occasion also underscored the growing importance of recognising professionals who combine academic advancement with practical expertise and leadership in their respective fields.
