Accolade as Amb. Dr. Abubakar Fauziya Ibrahim Honoured With Honorary Black Belt Award in Abuja

ABUJA, Nigeria — August 15, 2026: It was a moment of honour and recognition as Amb. Dr. Abubakar Fauziya Ibrahim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of She Deserves Empowerment Foundation, received a prestigious Honorary Black Belt Award from World Tong-Il Moo-Do Global Protector in Abuja.
The colourful ceremony, held at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, brought together distinguished personalities from the diplomatic, military, sports and professional communities to celebrate excellence, leadership, discipline, peace and character development.
Held under the theme, “Uniting the World Through Martial Arts, Peace and Character Development,” the event highlighted the role of martial arts in promoting discipline, unity, peaceful coexistence and responsible leadership.
Amb. Dr. Fauziya Ibrahim received the honorary award amid applause from dignitaries and guests. The accolade further recognised her commitment to service, women’s empowerment, girl-child education and community development.
Speaking after receiving the award, Amb. Dr. Fauziya Ibrahim encouraged young people to prioritise self-development, discipline, education and positive character, urging them to become worthy ambassadors of their generation. She stressed the importance of developing skills, building confidence and using their talents responsibly to make meaningful contributions to society.
As Founder and CEO of She Deserves Empowerment Foundation, Amb. Dr. Fauziya Ibrahim leads an organisation committed to empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, mentorship and community development initiatives. The foundation’s programmes are designed to equip women and girls with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to reach their full potential.
The foundation has organised outreach programmes, workshops and support initiatives aimed at uplifting underserved communities, while also creating awareness around social issues affecting women and girls. Through partnerships and community engagement, it continues to pursue its vision of a society where every woman is empowered, valued and given equal opportunities to succeed.
The ceremony also featured former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia, who was pictured with Amb. Dr. Fauziya Ibrahim during the event, adding a notable sporting dimension to the gathering.
Special Guest Dr. Chung Sik Yong of South Korea, International Chairman of the World Tong-Il Moo-Do Federation, was also present, underscoring the international character of the occasion and its message of unity through martial arts.
Other dignitaries at the ceremony included Amb. Prof. Ishaku, Gen. Sylvester Danjuma Bumshak, Gen. Omini Lizzy, Mrs. Ronke Iyabo Tinubu’s representative, Dr. Jameel Riad Jamal, Dr. Williams Salami, and Dr. Edor A. Sam Joe.
