Ngor Okpala 2027: Akwara Secures Stakeholders' Backing as Grassroots Consultation and Mobilization Begin

NGOR OKPALA, IMO STATE — Barrister Patrice Eberechukwu Akwara, the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Ngor Okpala State Constituency seat in the Imo State House of Assembly, has officially commenced his grassroots mobilization and stakeholder engagement campaign with a strategic pre-campaign consultative meeting held in Obiangwu, near the Imo Airport.
The consultative forum brought together party leaders, ward executives, community stakeholders, traditional leaders, youth and women representatives, professionals, political associates, and supporters from across the constituency. The meeting formed part of the campaign's early engagement strategy aimed at consolidating grassroots support, strengthening party structures, and articulating a people-driven agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing participants, Akwara stated that meaningful representation begins with listening to the people and incorporating their aspirations into the legislative process. He described the consultation as a demonstration of participatory democracy and reaffirmed his commitment to transparent, accountable, and inclusive leadership.
According to the NDC candidate, his legislative agenda is anchored on quality education, youth and women empowerment, modern agricultural development, infrastructure renewal, healthcare improvement, entrepreneurship, job creation, and policies that will stimulate sustainable economic growth throughout Ngor Okpala Constituency.
He maintained that the people of Ngor Okpala deserve responsive representation capable of attracting government presence, facilitating constituency development projects, and giving every ward a stronger voice in the Imo State House of Assembly. They described him as a worthy ambassador of the vision and reform-driven ideals of the Obidient Movement championed by His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, adding that his leadership philosophy resonates with the aspirations of well-meaning Igbo people who continue to advocate good governance, transparency, accountability, equity, and sustainable development.
The stakeholders further pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization across the eleven wards of Ngor Okpala, assuring the NDC candidate of their unwavering political support throughout the electioneering process.
