Crossland Communication Unveils Next-Generation Public Safety Network to Drive Secure Communications in Nigeria

ABUJA – Crossland Communication Nigeria Limited has unveiled plans to deploy a next-generation Hybrid Direct Connect Mobile Telecommunication Network aimed at transforming mission-critical communications and strengthening public safety infrastructure across Nigeria.

The indigenous telecommunications company, founded by Dr. Abayomi John Ayodele, said the initiative is designed to deliver secure, reliable and highly resilient communications for security agencies, emergency responders, critical infrastructure operators and other workforce-intensive sectors.

According to the company, the platform leverages advanced communication technologies to support intelligence gathering, secure information sharing, emergency response coordination and real-time operational communication, providing an integrated solution to Nigeria's evolving security and public safety challenges.

To facilitate the deployment, Crossland Communication has entered into a strategic partnership with Integrated Homeland Solution Network, a subsidiary of the Redtone Group and the exclusive West African regional partner of Hycomm and Hytera Communications. The collaboration is expected to accelerate technology transfer, attract foreign direct investment and generate thousands of skilled employment opportunities within Nigeria's telecommunications ecosystem.

The company noted that one of the major challenges confronting Nigeria's public safety architecture is the absence of a seamless interoperability framework that enables effective communication among the Nigeria Police Force, the Armed Forces, emergency response agencies and other critical security institutions.

To bridge this gap, Crossland Communication is introducing its SMART SAFE CITY SOLUTION, a mission-critical communication platform designed to integrate voice, data and emergency communication systems for faster coordination, improved situational awareness and efficient incident management.

The company explained that the solution will enhance the capacity of public safety institutions to respond swiftly to emergencies, terrorism, violent crime, natural disasters and other security threats while improving coordination among agencies responsible for protecting lives and critical national assets.

It further stated that investment in modern communications infrastructure has become increasingly important as Nigeria advances its digital transformation agenda and seeks to strengthen national resilience through innovative technology-driven security solutions.

Crossland Communication expressed confidence that the deployment of the Hybrid Direct Connect Mobile Telecommunication Network and the Smart Safe City Solution will support the country's drive towards a more connected, secure and digitally enabled public safety ecosystem while contributing to sustainable economic growth, technological innovation and national development.
