Amb. Rabe Garba Dangizo Says Tinubu's Reforms Are Repositioning Nigeria, Urges Collective Action

ABUJA — The Director-General of the Progressive Arewa People Support Asiwaju (PAPSA), Ambassador Rabe Garba Dangizo, has declared that the policy reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are steadily repositioning Nigeria for sustainable development, describing the administration as one committed to rebuilding the nation's economy and strengthening its democratic institutions. She expressed confidence that the President's Renewed Hope Agenda would ultimately deliver enduring dividends despite the short-term challenges associated with the reforms.

Dangizo, who is also a member of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, Delta State, made the remarks while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the North Central Agenda for Tinubu 2027 programme organised by the Federal Commissioner of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, Dr. Ogbole Ene Lilian, in Abuja. She described the gathering as a strategic platform for fostering political engagement and reinforcing grassroots support for the administration.

According to her, President Tinubu has demonstrated bold and visionary leadership by implementing far-reaching economic reforms aimed at correcting structural distortions that have hindered Nigeria's growth for decades. She noted that the administration's policies are designed to restore fiscal discipline, stimulate investment, promote industrialisation and create an enabling environment for sustainable economic expansion.

She maintained that although the reform process demands patience and sacrifice from Nigerians, the long-term benefits would outweigh the temporary hardships, insisting that genuine national transformation requires courageous leadership and consistency in policy implementation. "No nation develops without making difficult decisions. The President is taking those decisions in the interest of future generations," she said.

Expressing optimism ahead of the 2027 general election, Dangizo said support for President Tinubu continues to gain momentum across the North and other parts of the country, adding that Progressive Arewa People Support Asiwaju has intensified consultations, stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation to consolidate public support for the President's re-election.

She explained that the organisation's mobilisation campaign goes beyond partisan politics, describing it as a movement aimed at preserving policy continuity, strengthening democratic governance and ensuring that the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda are sustained. According to her, PAPSA is engaging women, youths, traditional rulers, community leaders and other critical stakeholders to deepen public participation in nation-building.

Dangizo, however, expressed concern over what she described as the activities of individuals and groups allegedly working against Nigeria's collective interest, warning that deliberate attempts to undermine government reforms could slow the country's progress. "We are building, while others are destroying. President Tinubu is working tirelessly to rebuild this nation, yet there are hidden elements determined to frustrate the country's progress. Nigerians must reject every act capable of sabotaging our collective future," she declared.

She stressed that rebuilding Nigeria cannot be the responsibility of the President alone, calling for greater collaboration among all segments of society. "President Tinubu cannot do it alone. Nation-building is a shared responsibility. Government institutions, political leaders, traditional rulers, the private sector, civil society organisations, religious leaders, youths and every patriotic Nigerian must work together. Through unity, collaboration and patriotism, we can build the Nigeria we all desire," she added.

The PAPSA Director-General also commended Dr. Ogbole Ene Lilian for convening the North Central Agenda for Tinubu 2027, describing the initiative as a timely intervention that provides a platform for policy advocacy, stakeholder consensus and grassroots political mobilisation. She said sustained engagement with citizens remains critical to strengthening public confidence in the administration's reform agenda.

Dangizo concluded that history would ultimately judge the Tinubu administration by its commitment to institutional renewal, economic revitalisation and national development rather than by the temporary discomfort associated with ongoing reforms. She expressed confidence that with sustained public support, strategic collaboration and policy continuity, Nigeria would emerge stronger, more prosperous and better positioned to compete in the global economy.
