NGOR OKPALA, IMO STATE – Barrister Patrice Eberechukwu Akwara, KSC, candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Ngor Okpala State Constituency in the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly election, has unveiled a comprehensive five-point development agenda aimed at delivering effective representation, sustainable development, and inclusive governance for the people of the constituency.

The agenda, themed "Service, Development and Prosperity for Ngor Okpala," outlines Akwara's legislative priorities as he seeks the mandate of the electorate to represent the constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.

Akwara said his aspiration is driven by a desire to provide purposeful representation that addresses the developmental needs of the people through responsive lawmaking, effective oversight, and strong advocacy for projects that will improve the standard of living across Ngor Okpala.

According to the legal practitioner, his development blueprint focuses on five critical sectors: road infrastructure, agriculture and youth empowerment, healthcare and education, security, and good governance. He explained that these priorities reflect the concerns raised by residents during his engagements with communities and stakeholders throughout the constituency.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate said improving road infrastructure would enhance economic activities, ease transportation, and open rural communities to investment opportunities. He pledged to advocate for improved road networks that connect communities and facilitate commerce.

On agriculture and youth empowerment, Akwara promised to champion policies that support farmers, encourage agribusiness, expand vocational training, promote entrepreneurship, and create employment opportunities for young people.

He also emphasized the need to strengthen healthcare and education by supporting legislation that improves access to quality medical services, upgrades schools, and promotes investments in human capital development.

Speaking on security, Akwara stressed that peace and stability remain essential for development. He pledged to work with government institutions, traditional rulers, community leaders, and security agencies to support initiatives that safeguard lives and property across Ngor Okpala.

The NDC candidate further promised to uphold transparency, accountability, and accessibility in public office, assuring constituents that he would maintain regular consultations with the people to ensure their interests are effectively represented in the State Assembly.

Describing himself as "a voice of integrity, a record of service, and visionary leadership," Akwara said his years of public service have equipped him with the experience and capacity to provide quality representation that delivers measurable results.

"I pledge to serve with absolute dedication, prioritizing the needs of our people above all else. My commitment is to provide effective representation that will promote development, empower our youths, improve public infrastructure, and ensure that every community in Ngor Okpala has a stronger voice in government," he said.

Quoting Micah 6:8—"Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God"—Akwara said the scripture reflects the values that will guide his service if elected.

As preparations continue for the 2027 general elections, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate expressed confidence that the people of Ngor Okpala are ready to embrace a new era of service, integrity, and development through visionary leadership focused on the collective progress of the constituency.
