ABUJA -- The wife of the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hajiya Zulaihat Sanni, has declared that Kogi State is poised to deliver a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, urging Nigerians to remain united and support the country's leadership through prayers and constructive engagement.
Hajiya Sanni, who represented her husband, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem (SEA), made the declaration while addressing journalists on the sidelines of the Progressive Women Empowerment Group gathering held at the Women Development Centre, Abuja.
The event, convened by Ambassador Mamunat Hassan Ahmed, attracted women leaders, political stakeholders, youth representatives and party supporters from across the country to discuss women's political participation, grassroots mobilisation and national development.
Speaking on the political outlook ahead of the 2027 elections, Hajiya Sanni expressed confidence that the APC would consolidate its electoral victories, particularly in Kogi State, where she said the achievements of the Tinubu administration and the state government had continued to resonate with the people.
According to her, "Kogi State is fully prepared to deliver a landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027. We will continue to mobilise our people at the grassroots because we believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda and the future it offers Nigerians."
She called on citizens to put aside political, ethnic and religious differences and work together in the collective interest of the nation, stressing that unity remains the foundation for sustainable development and national stability.
Hajiya Sanni also praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what she described as his people-oriented leadership and commitment to the development of Kogi State, noting that his administration has strengthened public confidence in the APC through infrastructure development and governance initiatives.
She further appealed to Nigerians not to lose faith in the country's future despite prevailing socio-economic challenges, insisting that continued prayers, patience and support for elected leaders would contribute to national progress.
"Nigeria will be better. I encourage every citizen to remain optimistic, continue praying for our leaders and support every genuine effort aimed at moving our country forward. Together, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams," she said.
Convener of the programme, Ambassador Memunant Hassan Ahmed, said the Progressive Women Empowerment Group would continue to mobilise women across the federation to participate actively in governance, leadership and grassroots political engagement, describing women as indispensable partners in Nigeria's democratic development.
The event climaxed with the inauguration of state coordinators of the Progressive Women Empowerment Group by the Convener, Ambassador Mamunat Hassan Ahmed, who charged the newly appointed officials to deepen grassroots mobilization, promote women's participation in governance and champion empowerment initiatives in support of President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. She expressed confidence that the coordinators would strengthen the group's structures nationwide and drive inclusive development across their respective states.
The gathering concluded with a renewed commitment by participants to strengthen women's political participation, expand grassroots mobilisation for the APC and promote peace, unity and inclusive development as momentum gradually builds towards the 2027 general elections.
