Gwer West Chairman Bags National Security Excellence Award in Abuja

ABUJA — The Executive Chairman of Gwer West Local Government Area, Hon. Ormin Torsar Victor, has been honoured with the prestigious National Security Excellence Award as the Overall Best in Nigeria on Security by Rootswatch Magazine.

The award was presented during the 24th Distinguished Local Government Chairmen Merit Award ceremony held on June 3, 2026, at the esteemed Nigeria Merit Award House, where outstanding local government administrators from across the country were celebrated for excellence in grassroots governance and service delivery.


Announcing the award, Prince Bayode Ojo said Hon. Victor was carefully selected following a rigorous assessment of his leadership record, commitment to grassroots development, and notable achievements in enhancing security within Gwer West Local Government Area.

According to the organizers, the award recognizes exceptional local government chairmen whose policies and initiatives have contributed significantly to peace, security, and sustainable community development. Hon.
