Engr. Sixtus Nnandi Obasi, declared that “it is time to make a difference” through effective and purposeful leadership. Speaking with newsmen shortly after obtaining the form at the party secretariat, he emphasized that the constituency can no longer afford continued underdevelopment, stressing the urgent need for leaders who are responsive to the yearnings of the people and committed to delivering tangible development across all sectors.

According to him, residents of Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala have continued to endure poor infrastructure, inadequate educational support, weak social welfare systems, and limited federal presence despite the enormous human and economic potential of the constituency.

“My people are suffering. There is no more development in my constituency. The people deserve better representation, better opportunities, and leaders who truly understand their pains,” he stated.

The engineering professional and community development advocate noted that his decision to join the race was borne out of his passion for grassroots advancement and his desire to reconnect governance with the everyday needs of ordinary citizens.

Obasi recounted several humanitarian interventions he has personally undertaken across the constituency, particularly in the education sector, revealing that he distributed exercise books to pupils and students in primary and secondary schools across communities within Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala as part of efforts to support learning and encourage academic excellence among young people.

He maintained that education remains one of the strongest pillars for societal transformation, stressing that no meaningful national development can occur without investing in the future of children and youths.

Political observers have described his entrance into the contest as a strategic development capable of reshaping the political dynamics of the federal constituency ahead of the 2027 elections, especially given his growing grassroots appeal and reputation for community-centered interventions.

Obasi further assured constituents that, if elected, he would prioritize infrastructure renewal, youth empowerment, educational support programs, rural development, and people-oriented legislation aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.

He also called on party faithful, youths, women groups, and community stakeholders to rally behind his aspiration in what he described as a collective movement to restore effective representation and sustainable development to Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency.
