Dr. Fauziya Ibrahim Abubakar Emerges Peace Ambassador of Nigeria in Abuja

Accolades have continued to pour in as Dr. Fauziya Ibrahim Abubakar, Chief Executive Officer of the She Deserves Empowerment Foundation, was conferred with the prestigious Peace Ambassador of Nigeria Award in recognition of her unwavering commitment to girl-child empowerment, humanitarian service, and community development.

The well-attended ceremony, held at the Los Angeles Centre, Kado in Abuja, brought together stakeholders, development advocates, civil society actors, and community leaders who gathered to witness what many described as a “momentous recognition of consistent impact.”

The award presentation, organized under the auspices of the Peace Ambassadors Advocacy Network, celebrated Dr. Abubakar’s sustained efforts in advancing initiatives focused on girl-child care, empowerment, and social inclusion, particularly at a time when concerns over vulnerability and social protection continue to rise across communities.

In his remarks, the convener of the event, Ambassador Kingsley Onuche, lauded Dr. Abubakar’s dedication to humanitarian service, describing her as a symbol of grassroots impact whose work aligns with the broader mission of peacebuilding and social transformation.

He noted that her foundation has remained consistent in championing empowerment programmes targeted at young girls, adding that such interventions are critical in strengthening the moral and social fabric of society.
