Candido Charges Renewed Hope Ambassadors on Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of 2027

Honourable Abdullahi Candido, a leading figure in the Renewed Hope movement in the Federal Capital Territory and former Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, has called on all Renewed Hope Ambassadors and coordinators at every level, including ward structures, to intensify grassroots mobilisation, public enlightenment, and political education ahead of the 2027 general election, as stakeholders gathered at the Pavilion for a strategic engagement on political coordination and grassroots mobilisation.

Speaking during an interactive session with participants in Abuja, Candido urged them to return to their various wards and undertake deliberate research on the achievements and policy initiatives of the present administration, with the objective of educating citizens at the grassroots who may not fully understand the programmes and interventions of government.

"He stressed that the government of the All Progressives Congress remains a collective responsibility for all party faithful, urging members to make greater efforts in explaining government policies and correcting wrong narratives being circulated at the grassroots. He noted that opposition elements often take advantage of public misunderstanding surrounding certain policies in an attempt to weaken confidence in the administration and gain political advantage.

"He Maintained that many people in local communities remain uninformed about several interventions of the current administration, noting that ward coordinators must bridge that gap through sustained engagement and factual communication.

"He further commended the leadership of Barrister Nyesom Wike, particularly for what he described as visible restructuring and expansion of road infrastructure across the councils of the Federal Capital Territory.

Also,  noted that after 28 years, the present administration has recorded significant progress in upgrading the traditional council structure, describing it as part of broader institutional reforms taking place in the territory.

"He charged participants to remain disciplined, focused, and guided in their political activities, emphasizing that the journey toward 2027 requires unity, strategy, and continuous grassroots contact.

Looking ahead to the next general election, Candido urged citizens to come out in large numbers to vote for APC candidates at all levels, insisting that sustained support for the party would consolidate ongoing development efforts.

"He concluded by urging participants to remain active, united, and committed to grassroots engagement, emphasizing that sustained mobilisation, political awareness, and proper voter education would be crucial to securing broad support for the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general election.
