Amb. Kingsley Onuche Represents Nigeria at Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, Pushes Agenda for Inclusive Growth in Addis Ababa

Ambassador Kingsley Onuche, President of the Peace Ambassador Advocacy Network, has represented Nigeria at the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, reaffirming the country’s commitment to advancing Africa’s sustainable development agenda.

The high-level forum, which brings together policymakers, development partners, and institutional stakeholders across the continent, serves as a strategic platform for reviewing Africa’s progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthening regional collaboration.

Ambassador Onuche’s participation reflects Nigeria’s sustained engagement in shaping continental policy frameworks aimed at fostering inclusive growth, economic resilience, and social development.

During the proceedings,

he interacted with global and regional leaders, development institutions, and research stakeholders, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, to explore pathways for accelerating industrialization and economic transformation across Africa.

Key discussions at the forum underscored the urgency of promoting inclusive industrialization, with a strong focus on youth empowerment and expanding opportunities for women in leadership and productive sectors.

Ambassador Onuche emphasized that Africa’s transformation requires more than dialogue, noting that coordinated action, strategic partnerships, and sustained commitment are essential to achieving measurable development outcomes.

He further highlighted the importance of peace advocacy and inclusive governance in creating an enabling environment for sustainable growth, stressing that stability remains a cornerstone for long-term development across the continent.

Stakeholders at the forum observed that Nigeria’s active participation reinforces its leadership role in regional development discourse and its commitment to fostering partnerships that drive innovation and resilience.
