Amb. Dr. Mishael Amaugo Bags Chartered Institute Administration Award in Abuja

ABUJA — In recognition of his enduring contributions to humanitarian service, leadership development, media engagement, and public advocacy, Mishael Eberechi Amaugo has been conferred with an award by the Chartered Institute of Administration and Research at a distinguished ceremony held at the National Merit Award House in Maitama, Abuja.

The event, which took place in the prestigious Brimmer Hall of the National Merit Award House, drew an array of high-level dignitaries, public administrators, scholars, professionals, and notable personalities from across the country, reflecting the national significance attached to the occasion.

As his name was formally announced before the gathering, the hall erupted in sustained applause, underscoring broad recognition of a career defined by commitment to service, institutional engagement, and humanitarian impact. The honour represents another milestone in a distinguished record of national and international service.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Amb. Dr. Amaugo expressed appreciation for the recognition, describing it as a call to greater commitment and continued service to humanity.
“I receive this honour with deep gratitude and a renewed sense of responsibility. This recognition is not only a personal milestone but an encouragement to remain aligned with the values of service, integrity, and commitment to humanity,” he stated.

Born on November 3, 1971, Amb. Dr. Amaugo hails from Ipupe Ubakala, Umuahia, Abia State. He is the son of the late Rev. Johnson Amaugo and Evangelist Mrs. Priscilla Amaugo, both retired ministers of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria.

His academic and professional development spans journalism, leadership, theology, diplomacy, and missions, with qualifications obtained from respected institutions including the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School, Lagos; Times School of Journalism, Lagos; Word of Faith Bible Institute; South West Advanced School of Theology, Ogun State; and University of Leadership, United States.

Throughout his career, Amb. Dr. Amaugo has served in several strategic capacities across media, faith-based institutions, humanitarian organizations, and civic platforms. His record of service includes previous engagements with NTA Lagos, Evangel Magazine, International Ministers Forum Nigeria, Global Igbo Peace and Unity Forum, and the International Human Rights Protection Service, among others.

Widely acknowledged for his passion for the less privileged and his dedication to youth development, he has remained actively involved in initiatives that promote social responsibility, leadership mentoring, and humanitarian outreach.

His previous recognitions include the United Nations Ambassador of Peace honour and an Honorary Doctorate Degree awarded by Wesley Synod Mission and St. Thomas-A-Beckett University of Canterbury, United Kingdom.

The conferment by the Chartered Institute of Administration and Research is regarded as further affirmation of his sustained contributions to nation-building, institutional service, and humanitarian advancement.

 The occasion reinforced the importance of honouring citizens whose work continues to inspire excellence, responsibility, and service within society.
