Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim Commends Leadership at Abuja Primary Health Care Summit

ABUJA — In a powerful demonstration of leadership and humanitarian commitment, Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim addressed the Abuja Primary Health Care Summit at the prestigious National Merit Award House, Maitama, lauding the convener for his visionary role in advancing Nigeria’s frontline health system. Affectionately referring to him as “my uncle,” she described the summit as a testament to his profound love for humanity and unwavering dedication to strengthening primary health care, the bedrock of national health and community wellbeing.

Known as the Jaruma Mata of Africa, the Ebule-jonu of Igala FCT, and North Central Women Leader of Team Tinubu 2027, Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim emphasized that such initiatives are crucial for enhancing maternal, child, and community health, reinforcing the indispensable role of primary health care as the foundation of an effective health system.

She remarked, “Summits like this transform leadership and policy commitments into tangible benefits for women, children, and vulnerable populations. They embody the intersection of vision, collaboration, and humanitarian action, shaping Nigeria’s health system for the better.”

Hajiya Ramatu Ibrahim expressed optimism that the summit would catalyze sustainable improvements in primary health care delivery, urging stakeholders—including government agencies, development partners, and civil society—to collaborate effectively to achieve Universal Health Coverage.

Highlighting her personal dedication to public health and social development, she added, “I call on leaders at every level to embrace proactive and compassionate approaches, ensuring health services are accessible, equitable, and responsive to the needs of all Nigerians.”

Concluding her address, she reaffirmed that visionary leadership, strategic engagement, and a humanitarian focus are essential to ensuring that primary health care remains the cornerstone of national health equity, resilience, and progress.
