ABUJA - In a ceremony defined by intellectual prestige and institutional gravitas, Highstone Global University, Texas, USA, has formally conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Engineering Management upon Engineer Olise Moses Amaechi — a globally respected authority in metering intelligence, oilfield instrumentation, and high-performance energy systems engineering.

The conferment, which held at the illustrious Armed Forces Officers’ Mess, Asokoro, Abuja, assembled an elite constellation of policymakers, industry captains, diplomatic figures, and academic dignitaries — all bearing witness to what many describe as a profoundly earned institutional recognition of technical brilliance, operational integrity, and national relevance.

For over two and a half decades, Dr. Olise has demonstrated rare distinction across the oil and gas, petrochemical, and energy value chains, delivering excellence in project execution, precision instrumentation, flow metering technology, process optimization, and asset integrity management. His contributions — particularly in advancing international compliance standards, strengthening energy infrastructure reliability, and enhancing operational intelligence — position him among the industry’s most trusted technical minds.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the conferment, Dr. Olise described the recognition as “a deeply humbling honour that reaffirms the timeless relevance of ethical leadership and technical excellence in nation-building.” He extolled Highstone Global University as “a visionary institution — one that is not merely awarding degrees, but strategically identifying solution-driven minds whose work reinforces global development architecture.”

He affirmed that the University’s recognition system reflects academic intelligence, international standards benchmarking, and a deliberate commitment to celebrating real impact rather than ceremonial visibility, stating that such institutions are the future of credible global knowledge validation.

In his words:

“This honour is not a title — it is a responsibility. It is a call to deepen my commitment to advancing Africa’s energy infrastructure, promoting indigenous engineering mastery, and mentoring the next generation of technical leaders who will compete not just locally, but on the global frontier of energy innovation.”

Industry observers at the event described Dr. Olise as “a strategic national asset” — a man whose technical finesse, operational integrity, and unwavering discipline make him a rare blend of professionalism, patriotism, and futuristic intelligence.

In his keynote charge to the honourees, Professor Theophilus Aku Ugah, Vice Chancellor of Highstone Global University, USA, urged them to “uphold the highest leadership standards, promote uncompromising integrity, and consciously deploy knowledge as a tool for human development.”

He emphasized that the university’s mandate is not merely to confer titles, but to identify nation-builders, sharpen global thinkers, and release transformational leaders whose influence will outlive generations.

“We do not celebrate popularity — we celebrate responsibility. Your impact must be measured by how many lives you uplift, how many systems you reform, and how boldly you build humanity for a better tomorrow,” Professor Ugah declared.

He further asserted that true leadership is proven in character, competence, and contribution to the growth of society, charging the award recipients to remain custodians of value, architects of progress, and uncompromising ambassadors of ethical leadership everywhere they stand.
