Engr. Nabhel Dike Receives NIPetGE Fellowship Award 2025 For Excellence in Petroleum Engineering

Nabhel Dike, a luminary of Nigeria’s upstream petroleum industry, was conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum and Gas Engineers (NIPetGE) at the 2025 Annual Conference, held within the opulent halls of the Abuja Continental Hotel.

 From her formative years at the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), where she cut her teeth in drilling operations, cost control, and production management, to her current role as Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering Coordinator at Oando Energy Resources, Engr. Dike has consistently demonstrated that excellence is the union of knowledge, diligence, and ethical leadership.

Her professional odyssey spans over two decades of distinguished service, during which she has been the driving force behind reservoir surveillance, ESP optimization, production data analytics, and field performance enhancement. She is renowned for her ability to blend deep technical insight with strategic foresight, ensuring operational efficiency and asset integrity across Nigeria’s most critical oil and gas fields. 

Her leadership in multidisciplinary teams, combined with her meticulous approach to well modelling, shut-in analysis, and production optimization, has elevated field operations to new standards of performance and innovation.

A graduate of the University of Port Harcourt with a Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering, she further honed her management acumen with an MBA in Project Management from Rivers State University, and is presently advancing her scholarship through a Ph.D. in Project Management. Beyond academic credentials, her global professional training—including Formation Evaluation and Reservoir Management in San Donato, Milan, Italy, Applied Reservoir Engineering in the United Kingdom, and Production Optimization Programs in Nigeria—attests to her commitment to continuous learning, technological mastery, and global best practices.

Her proficiency with cutting-edge petroleum software—PROSPER, MBAL, GAP, Oil Field Manager, MatBal, and Paradigm INTERPRET—cements her status as a leader in digitalized reservoir management and production optimization. This technical acumen, coupled with her membership in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), positions her at the vanguard of Nigeria’s energy industry, where her contributions continue to shape policies, inspire innovation, and mentor the next generation of engineers.
