Abuja, Nigeria — In a distinguished  recognition of visionary leadership and national service, Chief Friday Idah, a respected official serving within the Nigerian State House, has been decorated with the highly coveted ICAD Global Fellowship Award — a global distinction reserved for transformational leaders driving excellence in humanitarian advancement, social equity, and community-centered governance.

The investiture ceremony, hosted by the Institute of cooperate administration  (ICAD), brought together development technocrats, international policymakers, and strategic humanitarian actors from across the continent. Chief Idah was honoured for his measurable interventions in youth empowerment, community resilience, and value-based leadership, reinforcing Nigeria’s global image as a nation deeply invested in inclusive development.

In its official citation, ICAD extolled him as “a patriotic institution-strengthener and strategic humanitarian reformer whose work demonstrates integrity, foresight, and people-first impact across vulnerable populations.”

In his heartfelt acceptance address, Chief Friday Idah expressed profound gratitude for the global recognition, dedicating the honour “to the youth, underserved communities, and all unwavering partners committed to building a just, dignified, and progressive society.”

He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding policy-driven impact, strengthening multi-sector development collaboration, and advancing Africa’s leadership role in humanitarian diplomacy and community transformation.

Development observers describe the honour as a strong diplomatic signal of Nigeria’s rising influence in global humanitarian leadership — especially at a time when the world is seeking ethically grounded, innovation-driven, people-centered governance models from Africa.

Chief Idah’s recognition is seen not merely as a personal honour but a reaffirmation of Nigeria’s emergence as a trusted catalyst for global social impact, continental stability, and inclusive policy reform.

In a related development, the Institute of Corporate Administration (ICAD), at its 2025 Hybrid Conference on the Future of Management in Africa, projected Africa as a key stakeholder — not a spectator — in shaping the future of global leadership and innovation.

Delivering the keynote titled “Driving High Performance and Excellence Through Innovative Strategies — Positioning Africa in the Age of AI,” Dr. Joseph stressed that the future of governance and institution-building will be defined by intelligent systems, digital transformation, and performance-driven leadership models, urging African institutions to prioritize technology-enabled efficiency without compromising human dignity and inclusion.

Delegates unanimously emphasized that technology must serve humanity, and called on African governments to provide policy stability, infrastructure support, and collaborative governance structures to sustain progress.

Analysts note that the international recognition of State House figures like Chief Friday Idah, alongside high-level strategic interventions such as the ICAD Conference, signals a rising era of African-led solutions, human-centered innovation, and responsible leadership shaping the global conversation.
