With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, Dr. Usiabulu has harmonized technical expertise with academic excellence and visionary leadership in a manner that epitomizes his deep commitment to sustainable development and energy transition. His multifaceted portfolio elegantly blends professional mastery with social consciousness—an embodiment of the modern engineer as a nation-builder and global change agent.
As part of the induction rites, Amb. Dr. Usiabulu took the fellowship oath administered by Prof. Michael Onyekonwu, a revered oilfield chemical research expert and academic luminary. Speaking shortly after the conferment, the newly decorated Fellow expressed profound gratitude to Engr. Amb. Dr. Godsday Usiabulu is a Distinguished Petroleum and Gas Engineer, Academic, Climate Advocate, and Humanitarian Leader, whose multidimensional experience traverses energy development, research, and leadership consultancy. He holds a B.Sc. in Energy and Petroleum Studies, two Master’s degrees—in Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Engineering (University of Port Harcourt) and Environmental & Petroleum Technology Management (South America University, USA)—and is currently pursuing dual Ph.D. programmes in Petroleum and Gas Engineering and Transformational Leadership from reputable institutions in Nigeria and the United States.
His ongoing doctoral research at the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence for Oilfield Chemical Research, University of Port Harcourt, focuses on machine learning applications for early gas leak detection in gas processing plants—a pioneering study that integrates artificial intelligence into industrial safety management and process optimization.
Amb. Usiabulu’s professional affiliations span numerous respected institutions, including SPE International, NIPetGE, NIPetE, NIEE, NISafetyE, and the National Registry of Environmental Professionals (NREP). As a Certified African Climate Ambassador and COP27 delegate, he continues to champion climate-conscious petroleum operations and environmental stewardship across Africa.
In the professional sphere, he serves as the Managing Director/CEO of Youthful Energy and Environmental Companion, a visionary enterprise driving sustainable energy solutions and innovation across the oil and gas ecosystem. He is also Business Development Director at Crado World International Properties, and a faculty advisor and lecturer at Novena University and JPTS/Unique Open University, where he mentors aspiring engineers in petroleum geology, reservoir management, renewable energy systems, and industrial safety.
Beyond his technical and academic laurels, Amb. Dr. Usiabulu exemplifies spiritual depth and moral leadership as the Assistant Provincial Youth Pastor (Administration) with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Rivers Province 16 YAYA, where he passionately nurtures youth leadership, integrity, and purposeful living.
