A defining moment of faith, honor, and leadership was recorded in Abuja as Castle Park University, Missouri, USA, conferred an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Governance and Leadership on Pastor Victor Olorunmodimu, a highly respected minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Pastor Victor, widely known as a dynamic preacher and reform-minded cleric, is the Presiding Shepherd of RCCG Desire of Nation Headquarters, Abuja, with pastoral oversight over more than 300 parishes across the Federal Capital Territory. Over the years, he has carved a niche as a spiritual father, mentor, and visionary who combines sound biblical teaching with practical leadership that empowers communities, nurtures faith, and shapes ethical governance.

The grand conferment ceremony, held at the prestigious Novare Mall, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, brought together dignitaries from the church, academia, diplomatic corps, and the civic space. The gathering reflected the magnitude of a cleric whose influence transcends the pulpit, touching lives through youth empowerment, women’s development, and peace advocacy initiatives.

Addressing journalists moments after the award, Pastor Victor expressed gratitude to Castle Park University for the recognition and pledged to continue in his mission of blending spiritual leadership with social responsibility.

“This honor is both humbling and a call to greater responsibility. As leaders in God’s vineyard, our task is not just to preach the gospel but to model integrity, accountability, and peace. Governance begins with service, and service begins with love,” Pastor Victor stated.

He also urged Christians and Nigerians at large to embrace the peace of God, stressing that “lasting comfort and true progress flow only from divine peace as preached by Christ.”

In addition to the doctorate, Pastor Victor was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute for Crisis Resolution, Peacebuilding and Conciliation, an accolade that highlights his growing reputation as a faith-driven peace ambassador in Nigeria and beyond.

Delivering his goodwill message, Ambassador Dr. Izuka Elkanah Okeke, Country Representative of Castle Park University, described the conferment as a symbolic convergence of faith, governance, and global scholarship.

“Our honorees today are more than recipients of degrees; they are custodians of moral authority. By honoring Pastor Victor and others, Castle Park University affirms that Nigeria has men and women whose integrity, resilience, and faith-driven leadership can transform societies and secure futures,” Dr. Izuka declared.

He further emphasized the university’s global affiliations with the Institute for Crisis Resolution, Peacebuilding and Conciliation and the Institute of Cyber Security Professionals, noting that such partnerships ensure that academic honors translate into practical solutions for the challenges of governance, peace, and security in today’s world.

Beyond the ceremony, Pastor Victor Olorunmodimu’s story is one of faithful service, steady growth, and transformational ministry. Having risen through the ranks of the RCCG with unwavering dedication, he has mentored dozens of young ministers, planted thriving parishes, and championed programs that address social needs such as poverty alleviation, youth employment, and women empowerment.

Known for his warm pastoral heart and sharp administrative skill, Pastor Victor has guided the Desire of Nation Headquarters into becoming not only a spiritual hub but also a center of community impact—where the message of the gospel meets the realities of everyday living.

Family and parishioners often describe him as a shepherd with the heart of a father, deeply committed to the welfare of his congregation. Testimonies abound of his role in reconciling broken homes, sponsoring indigent students, and advocating peace during times of community conflict.

As he takes on this new academic honor, many see Pastor Victor’s recognition not just as a personal milestone but as an emblem of the evolving role of clerics in shaping governance, peace, and nation-building.

His journey—rooted in prayer, guided by biblical principles, and tested in the realities of leadership—continues to inspire a new generation of pastors, civic leaders, and ordinary Nigerians who believe that service to God must go hand-in-hand with service to humanity.

For the RCCG family and the wider faith community, Pastor Victor’s honorary doctorate is more than an award; it is a celebration of a life devoted to shepherding with wisdom, leading with integrity, and serving with compassion.
