Abuja — The National Merit Award House, Maitama, came alive as the Mic Conversation Business Development Summit gathered a hall brimming with entrepreneurs, innovators, and change-makers. Among the highlights of the event was the recognition of Mr. Samson Adekunle, CEO of Tychiwillyu Farm Limited, who was conferred with the Impactful Entrepreneur Award.

Over the years, Mr. Adekunle has transformed his agribusiness, based in Kuje Area Council near the main market, into a model of innovation and sustainability. His farm engages in fish farming, poultry, rabbitry, guinea pig farming, and cane rat (grasscutter) rearing. Beyond production, he has also built a platform for training and certification, equipping many Nigerians with the skills to build profitable agribusiness ventures of their own.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Mr. Adekunle expressed gratitude to the Mic Conversation network for acknowledging his efforts. “This recognition means a lot because it shows that our work is not unnoticed. I promise to continue leading the farming system to greater heights of impact that will benefit the nation,” he told Newsway Reporters.

He further advised aspiring farmers to identify their area of interest within agriculture and build consistency in it. “Farming is broad, but once you find your focus—whether in fishery, poultry, or livestock—you can maximize it and make it a source of sustainable livelihood,” he emphasized.

In his remarks, Ambassador Aina Oladipo Michael, convener of the Mic Conversation, commended Adekunle’s contributions to agribusiness. “Samson Adekunle represents the kind of visionary entrepreneur Nigeria needs — resilient, innovative, and committed to community development. His work in Kuje is a shining example of how agriculture can drive economic empowerment and national progress,” he said.

Other entrepreneurs at the summit also hailed Adekunle’s recognition as well-deserved. One participant noted that his farm has become “a training ground for youths who want to turn agriculture into real business.” Another described him as “a quiet achiever whose impact speaks louder than any publicity.”

With its base in Kuje, Tychiwillyu Farm Limited not only contributes to local food security but also creates employment opportunities for youths and families in the area. Samson Adekunle’s story is a testament to how agribusiness, when pursued with vision and resilience, can uplift communities and strengthen Nigeria’s economic future.
