Princess Anazodo Awunor Begins Full Implementation of Women Awake Scholarship

Abuja, Nigeria – With the grace of royalty and the heart of a mother, Princess Anazodo Awunor, fondly known as Big Mummy, has unfurled the full implementation of the Women Awake Scholarship Program, fulfilling her bold promise to sponsor 24 children from primary school to university.

The initiative, which has already touched eight L.E.A. primary schools across the Federal Capital Territory, is fast becoming a symbol of what purposeful leadership, vision, and compassion can achieve. At every school she visited, the Princess was received not just as a benefactor, but as a royal emblem of hope whose presence inspired joy, gratitude, and renewed faith in the power of education.

The journey began at L.E.A. Primary School, Jahi/Kado Kuchi, where Kabiru Awual’s dream of an uninterrupted education was secured. The train of impact then steamed ahead to Karshi, where Abdullahi and Muhammed Abdulkarim were enrolled at the Pilot Science Primary School. From there, the movement touched Zhayidna (Gidan Ajiya) Primary School, enrolling Rejoice Sunday, before heading to Orozo, where Raiyanatu Hassan was welcomed into the program.
The eighth day of the campaign carried the vision to Karu Site, where twins Jessica and Jennifer from the Abuja Children’s Home were joyfully registered, and later to Nyanya Phase 1, where Fatima Rabiu and Dominion Ode also became beneficiaries. Each stop was marked with unforgettable moments — laughter, tears of joy, cultural displays, and heartfelt prayers.

Princess Awunor, radiant in her role as a woman of destiny, described the program as an investment in the nation’s future.

“Education is the crown jewel we must place on the heads of our children. These 24 may be few today, but their impact will be countless tomorrow. They are leaders, innovators, and nation builders in the making. To God be the glory, it has all ended in joy and praises.”

Her words reflected the magnitude of the moment: this was not charity, but a strategic empowerment agenda designed to break generational cycles of poverty and position young Nigerians for greatness.

Observers note that the Women Awake Initiative has steadily grown under her guidance into a movement that blends royalty, philanthropy, and visionary leadership. Princess Awunor is increasingly celebrated not only as a community leader but as a royal matriarch of empowerment, using her influence and resources to transform lives where government alone cannot reach.

The future of the students enrolled is already drawing attention. Education experts say that, with full sponsorship guaranteed up to university, these children will not only gain knowledge but also confidence, exposure, and opportunities to compete globally. From Kabiru in Jahi to the twins Jessica and Jennifer in Karu, these names now represent a generation of hope nurtured under the wings of a leader who believes in them.

Parents echoed their gratitude. “This scholarship has lifted a great burden from our shoulders. My daughter will now walk into her future with confidence. The Princess is truly a mother to the voiceless,” said Mrs. Hassan of Orozo.

Teachers also applauded the initiative, describing it as a legacy project that would inspire other leaders to follow suit. At Karshi, pupils demonstrated their brilliance in science and creativity, leaving Princess Awunor visibly moved.

As the program continues across schools in the FCT, the message is clear: when women of vision rise, nations awake. Princess Anazodo Awunor has not only crowned 24 children with the gift of education but has also planted seeds of leadership, resilience, and greatness that will blossom in years to come.

As the curtains fell on the week-long exercise, one message was clear: Princess Anazodo Awunor has etched her name in gold as a royal emblem of hope and transformation. The Women Awake Scholarship is not just about 24 children; it is about raising a generation of leaders who will carry the torch of knowledge, integrity, and service into the future.
