Abuja, Nigeria – History was made in Abuja as the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategic Management (CIISM) rolled out the red carpet for one of its grandest events yet — a day that blended capacity building, leadership renewal, professional induction, and the conferment of honorary doctorate awards into a single unforgettable celebration.

The Registrar of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategic Management (CIISM), Amb. Dr. Adelanke Peter Oyintoke DFCISM, ACA, has called on newly inducted members, inaugurated council leaders, and honorary doctorate awardees to uphold excellence, integrity, and service as cornerstones of professional and national transformation.

The event glittered with high-profile attendees, including Amb. Dr. Mrs. Temile Uduogho Oritseweyimni (President, CIISM), HRM. Amb. Dr. Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, HRM. Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Nasiru Mailafiya (Emir of Shani), Commandant Olusola Odumosu, PhD (NSCDC, Awardee), and Amb. Dr. Fred Latimore Oghensivbe (DG, Delta State Orientation Bureau).

Delivering his welcome address at the Human Capacity Building Programme, Inauguration of Council Members, Induction Ceremony, and Conferment of Honorary Doctorate Awards held at the Nigerian Army Resource Center, Asokoro, Abuja, Oyintoke described the event as “a historic and memorable occasion that reflects CIISM’s commitment to leadership renewal, professional growth, and global relevance.”

According to him, capacity building, professional recognition, and visionary leadership are “essential pillars for national development.”

He charged the inductees to embrace professionalism and lifelong learning, noting that “you are now ambassadors of the CIISM brand, and your success is our collective pride.”

To the newly inaugurated council members, Oyintoke emphasized that leadership is a trust, urging them to steer the Institute with “vision, wisdom, and unwavering dedication.”

Addressing the honorary doctorate awardees, he highlighted that their recognition was both a celebration of past achievements and an encouragement to deepen their impact on humanity, describing their lives as “shining examples of excellence, innovation, and service.”

The Registrar also appreciated guests, partners, and facilitators for their support, noting that the ceremony was not just an institutional event but a landmark for the nation’s capacity-building agenda.

Under Oyintoke’s registrarship, CIISM is fast emerging as more than an institute — it is becoming a movement for excellence. It positions itself as the nexus where information strategy meets leadership innovation, empowering professionals to not only excel in their fields but also shape policy, governance, and society.

The ceremony was more than pomp; it was a showcase of CIISM’s rising influence as an institution where information strategy meets leadership excellence. Under Dr. Oyintoke’s stewardship, the Institute has increasingly become a beacon for professionals, policymakers, and innovators seeking to drive national transformation.

For Amb. Dr. Adelanke Oyintoke, the Registrar’s role is not about keeping records; it is about shaping narratives, mentoring leaders, and guarding the torch of professional integrity. His ability to turn a ceremonial welcome into a call to action proved why his voice resonates beyond CIISM’s corridors.

Adding intellectual depth to the day, Prof. Paul Bolorunduro, DFCISM, Chairman of CIISM’s Board of Trustees, delivered a stirring keynote on “Strategic Synergies: Leveraging Arts Management & Information Strategy for National Development.”

He stressed that improved governance, private sector growth, public-private collaboration, and research-driven cultural policies are the cornerstones of a modern development strategy.

Prof. Bolorunduro argued that fusing arts management with information strategy would not only boost economic growth but also drive social transformation and global competitiveness, urging policymakers to adopt integrated cultural and technological frameworks as national priorities.

For many, however, the lasting impression was the Registrar’s ability to turn a formal welcome into a vision-setting moment. Observers described his address as the heartbeat of the ceremony, blending authority with inspiration and reminding professionals that ethics, innovation, and strategy remain the engines of national progress.

As the curtains fell on Abuja’s glittering occasion, one truth was undeniable: CIISM is not just building professionals — it is shaping a movement. And at its center stands Amb. Dr. Adelanke Peter Oyintoke, a Registrar whose voice now echoes as a thought leader in Nigeria’s professional space.
