MaryCrown Foundation Launches Lifesaving Health Outreach to Mark Birthday
...Turning Years into Impact: Foundation Celebrates with Community Health Strengthening Program in FCT
Abuja, Nigeria | June 19, 2025 — In commemoration of the birthday of its Founder and Executive Director, the MaryCrown Foundation for Women and Youth Social Development has unveiled a landmark initiative aimed at transforming access to healthcare in a vulnerable community within Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
The Community Health Strengthening and Outreach Program, currently underway at the Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in Kobi, Guzape, is designed to address critical gaps in healthcare delivery for women, youth, and underserved families. By combining structural renovation, medical outreach, and public health education, the Foundation is turning a personal milestone into a public impact mission.
“This is not just a birthday celebration—it is a declaration of service,” said the Founder. “We believe in honoring life by improving lives.”
Healthcare as a Gift: Commemorating with Compassion
In place of a traditional birthday gathering, the Foundation chose to invest in a meaningful intervention that will leave a lasting footprint. The project underscores MaryCrown’s mission to empower women and youth through health, education, and sustainable community development.
The comprehensive program includes:
Renovation and reconstruction of the Primary Health Centre in Kobi, Guzape
Provision of essential medical equipment and medications to enhance service delivery
Free medical screenings for malaria, HIV, blood pressure, sugar levels, and other common health risks
Distribution of dignity kits including sanitary pads, delivery kits, and hygiene supplies
Community health education sessions with a special focus on menstrual health, maternal care, and disease prevention
So far, the program is set to directly benefit over 1,000 community members, particularly women and young people who have limited access to affordable healthcare services.
Official Handover & Community Outreach Day: June 26, 2025
The handover ceremony on June 26 will feature interactive sessions, health talks, and distribution of supplies, in a celebratory yet purposeful gathering of stakeholders, healthcare workers, and local beneficiaries
To ensure sustainability and wider replication of this impactful model, MaryCrown Foundation is calling on corporate bodies, philanthropic individuals, healthcare professionals, and donor agencies to join hands in advancing community health.
“What started as a personal celebration has grown into a movement for community healing,” said the Communications Team. “We invite everyone who believes in health equity to support this work.”
