Mohammed Aliyu Madaki, councilorship aspirant for Jiwa Ward, has reaffirmed his dedication to grassroots development and community empowerment during a spirited gathering of the APC youth coalition known as the Candido Progressive Network (CPN). The event was held in support of Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and APC candidate for the upcoming 2026 FCT elections.
Hon. Mohammed Aliyu Madaki made the statement on Tuesday, May 14, 2025, while speaking with Newsway Reporters at the Arts and Culture Center. The occasion drew several prominent figures, including Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, former AMAC Chairman; his Vice, Hon. Lawrence, and other key stakeholders from the political and civic space.
Madaki used the platform to reiterate his commitment to transformative grassroots leadership and to express appreciation for the continued support of APC stalwarts in Jiwa and beyond.
Addressing a crowd of energized youth, party loyalists, and political stakeholders, Madaki laid out his vision for a more inclusive, transparent, and progressive Jiwa. He emphasized the need for responsive leadership, youth inclusion, and a governance approach that prioritizes the real needs of local residents.
“As a proud son of Jiwa, I have lived the realities our people face—from poor infrastructure and joblessness to inadequate essential services,” Madaki said. “I am not just here to contest, but to serve—to be a bridge between the government and the people.”
He lauded Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu for his outstanding grassroots leadership, stating that his own aspirations align with the APC's broader goal of delivering democratic dividends to the people at the local level.
“The position of councilor is not about status, but service. With the right policies and community-focused initiatives, we can transform Jiwa Ward together,” he added.
The event, organized by Comrade Ibrahim Musa, leader of the APC Youth Wing, demonstrated significant support for Madaki’s candidacy. Musa praised Madaki's longstanding commitment to community mobilization and youth advocacy.
“Mohammed Aliyu Madaki is a true grassroots candidate—he listens, engages, and delivers. He’s the right choice to represent Jiwa at this critical juncture,” Musa stated.
The event concluded with a unified call for party cohesion and an appeal to residents to support candidates with integrity, vision, and a genuine passion for development.
With growing grassroots momentum and a clear developmental agenda, Madaki is emerging as a leading contender in the race for Jiwa Ward councilor—a voice of hope and a catalyst for sustainable local progress.
