Abuja, Nigeria – At the prestigious 2025 NGO Impact Investment Summit held at the National Centre for Women Development, Dr. Kikiope Oluwarore, Executive Director of the One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI), received an award of appreciation for her contributions to the success of the NGOs summit.
According to the convener, Aisha Bello, the leadership trajectory of Dr. Kikiope Oluwarore is both commendable and inspiring. She lauded Dr. Oluwarore's unwavering commitment to transformative development, describing her as a beacon of hope and innovation in the public health and humanitarian space.
As a featured speaker on a high-level panel, Dr. Oluwarore emphasized the critical need to integrate private sector investment with financial systems to foster scalable infrastructure and development across Africa. She also advocated for the institutionalization of the summit as an annual convening platform to unite NGOs, investors, and policymakers in crafting innovative, collaborative solutions to pressing development challenges.
A major highlight of her presentation was the unveiling of RORE (Resource-Oriented Resilience Engine)—a pioneering platform developed by OHDI. RORE is designed to centralize tools, resources, and knowledge for frontline actors in the One Health ecosystem. It provides curated guidance and learning to support practitioners and communities, boosting local resilience and enabling more coordinated, effective responses—especially in resource-constrained environments.
“The future of sustainable development lies in co-creation, access to knowledge, and the power of collaboration. RORE is our contribution to bridging that gap,” said Dr. Oluwarore.
As the event unfolded, it became clear that the summit was more than a milestone—it stood as a testament to the unwavering dedication of stakeholders and awardees committed to shaping a shared future for Nigeria. Through a focus on innovative ideas in infrastructure development and investment models, the gathering highlighted a collective drive for progress. The summit also showcased the organizers' remarkable ability to convene technocrats, leaders, and visionaries in a spirit of joyful camaraderie, united by their common purpose of building the Nigeria they envision.
The summit concluded with a communiqué urging the strengthening of NGO-led development ecosystems and the establishment of transparent public-private partnerships to accelerate Africa’s development agenda.
