Mohammed Sabiu Oshafu, Lauds Gov Uba Sani's efforts in tackling insecurity

Honourable Mohammed Sabiu Oshafu, the councilor representing Jagindi Ward and Speaker of the Jama'a Local Government Legislative Council, has commended Governor Uba Sani for his unwavering commitment to addressing insecurity in Kaduna State. Oshafu acknowledged the governor’s strategic and proactive approach, particularly in regions like Birnin Gwari that were once severely affected by banditry and kidnappings.

 He praised the administration’s bold initiatives, including the recruitment of thousands of vigilantes and enhanced collaboration with security agencies, which have collectively contributed to restoring peace and rebuilding public confidence in affected communities.

 Oshafu's praise underscores the significant positive impact these measures have had in restoring peace, enhancing safety, and creating an environment conducive to growth and development in the region.

This recognition was made at the National Councilors Forum of Nigeria's retreat in Abuja. Oshafu's endorsement aligns with broader support for Governor Sani's initiatives, which include enhanced security and infrastructure development. Additionally, Oshafu is reportedly drumming up support for Governor Sani's re-election in 2027, highlighting the governor's positive impact on the state.

"He stated that Governor Sani's administration has made notable strides in combating insecurity, especially in regions like Birnin Gwari, which had long been plagued by banditry and kidnappings. 

Furthermore, Governor Sani has focused on infrastructure development, making roads like Birnin Gwari's safer and more accessible. These efforts have not only helped restore peace but also revitalized economic activities in previously affected areas. Honourable Oshafu's commendation highlights the broader recognition of these transformative actions aimed at improving the lives of the people in Kaduna State.

Hon. Mohammed  expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the organizers of the workshop, noting that it was the first such event he had attended since taking his oath of office. He highlighted that the knowledge gained from the workshop would be invaluable in enhancing their legislative framework. Oshafu urged fellow participants to apply the insights they had acquired to improve governance and service delivery. 

Honourable Sabiu's comments reflect the broader commitment to strengthening legislative capacity and ensuring that elected officials are equipped with the skills needed for effective governance, which is further supported by ongoing training and capacity-building initiatives.

He highlighted the success of a recent football competition he organized, which brought unity and progress to the area. Oshafu reiterated his commitment to fostering peace and further development in the community, emphasizing the importance of community support in achieving these goals.
