GROUP CALL FOR IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION OF SEN. AKPABIO AS SENATE PRESIDENT.

The call for an immediate resignation of the Nigeria Senate president was taken at a World press conference organized by the Northern Youth group known as "Arewa Youth Assembly for good leadership".

Speaking with the newsmen, the President of the group, Amb. Abdul Danbature, noted that the Northern part of Nigeria had been marginalized in the affairs of the nation by the Senate president.

The president stressed on the issue currently affecting the democratic stability of the Senate chamber in regard to Natasha Akpoti- Uduagha and Senate president Godswill Akpabio dispute. " We are giving the Senate president 48hours to reverse the suspension of senator Natasha Akpoti- Uduagha. the Senate president should stop the harassment of the northern senators in the red chamber, hence the youths shall occupy the streets the northern region of the nation" He said .

The youth group also vowed to block the Lokoja - Lagos road to stop the supplying of food items and others goods from going to the west and vice versa.

Furthermore, the group called for the attention of President Tinubu to swiftly swig into action to intervene on the Akpabio - Natasha saga currently rocking the peace of the Senate chamber, adding that senator Akpabio had previously fought the likes of Senator Ali Nidume and Senator Ningi in the past and the duo hails from the Northern region of Nigeria.
