Akeem Olatunji Calls For Establishment of Electoral Service Commission, As NULGE Holds National Conference In Abuja

NULGE President General, Comrade Akeem Olatunji Ambali, fcpa. has called for the establishment of Electoral Service Commission (ESC) to monitor, regulate and punish Electoral offender in Nigeria 

The National President of NULGE, Comrade Ambali Olatunji in a statement which was made available to journalists  at the ongoing Conference In Abuja, said the Electoral Service Commission will help to check and punish Electoral offender, while emphasized that, any system that is not regulated is prune to corruption.

The Theme of this year is timely as the time when the local government Autonomy was granted: "Making Local Government Administration works for Nigeria people"

Newsway Media reports that, the  Annual event which is ongoing at Top rank Hotel, beside Leadership House, Utako District, FCT Abuja.

Ambali further said autonomy granted by the court, will help to ensure good governance, security, safety and development of the various local government areas in the country.

" He emphasized the judicious uses of the local government resources while sending signal to the state actors who has perilous heart to sabotage the local government funds should desit from such art before their regrets.

"He lamented the poor development of local government across the 36 states of  federation due to the highjackers and saboteur of public money. He expressed satisfaction that with local government Autonomy, the grassroots will now experience development in rapid succession.

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, on Thursday highlighted the urgent need for more collaboration to make the local government Autonomy function well at grassroots level.
