Energy Essentials Book Launched As Ologedinitiative holds Confidence In Abuja

The Oloibiri Oil and Gas Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (OLOGED initiative), in collaboration withThe Federal Ministry of Environment, has Celebrated  World Children's Day and the Official Launch of "Energy Essentials: An Introductory Guide to Oil, Gas, and Alternative Energy for Schools" Authored by Onome Faith Wilkinson 

The book was  endorsed by the 
Nigerian Education Research and Development Council (NERDC)

The launched has also unveil the Youth Energy-preneurship Education Project for Schools and two engaging, energy-themed storybooks 

The book provides actionable insights and exercises to help readers unlock their potential and redefine their lives into Energy career 

“This is a call to action for anyone eager to redefine their journey and embrace the tools to create a fulfilling life

The remarkable event which brought students together attracted diverse audience held on  Thursday being 28th November, 2024, at the Ministry of Environment Conference Hall, Green Building, Maitama, Abuja

The was Book Reviewed by Prof. Rim-Rukeh Akpofure, Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Warri and Nigerian Educational Development and Research Council

The  Highlights of the event was the Keynote Presentation, Panel Discussions and Energy Presentations by Students 

Theme: "Empowering Young Voices: Listen to the Future of Energy" 

Onome Faith Wilkson, the founder of Oloibiri Oil and gas entrepreneurship Initiative said, At Ologedinitiative We are committed to creating,  engaging, age-appropriate programs that introduce kids to oil, gas, solar, and beyond.

While speaking with Newsmen, Oneme said,  energy sector is rich with career possibilities. By introducing Students to energy early, we are opening doors to a future in innovation and entrepreneurship. 

According Onome every Child deserves an Introduction to Energy Education.  we are prepare the next generation for a future that is both technologically advanced and environmentally conscious, one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is a solid foundation in energy education.

 From oil and gas to alternative sources like solar, the energy sector shapes economies, fuels innovation, and offers a pathway to careers that can make a real impact.

"She Maintained that Energy education is not just about science,  it is  about teaching young minds how the world works, where our resources come from, and how they can contribute to a sustainable future. 

"She stated that by understanding energy from a young age, children can develop a passion for innovation, leadership, and responsible resource management. 

 Mrs. Onome Faith stressed that Energy education fosters environmental responsibility. When students learn about the basics of energy and sustainability, they grow up understanding the importance of conserving resources, reducing waste, and making eco-friendly choices.

He charged the participants, parents and school owners to give their children the tools to understand, innovate, and lead in the energy sector.

As the energy sector continues to evolve with a greater emphasis on sustainability and technological innovation, mentorship for secondary school students interested in oil, gas, and alternative energy has become more evidence and crucial than ever

The event was more than just a milestone celebration of launching of Energy essentials ; it was a testament to the unwavering support , Commitment and love that has been extended by the organizer to students and her ability to draw technocrats in beautiful style to grace the occasion. The connections made, the conversations had, and the beautiful memories created resonate deeply with everyone present, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished for years to come.
