S/ Kaduna people's Union showcases Mega cultural Festival in Abuja, As Michael Ayuba Lauds the Participants.

However, the new movement emerged by the Southern Kaduna people's Union to change that narrative. The Mega cultural Festival is not just an event; it is a powerful platform for cultural celebration, artistic expression, and building bridges across communities in the FCT amongst Southern Kaduna people's Union 

The Mega cultural festival and cooperative take-up fundraising  for her members Empowerment was organized by the Southern Kaduna people's Union in Abuja.

The colorful festival ceremony held on Saturday being 23rd November, 2024 at the Cyperian Ekwensi for Arts and Culture, Area 10 in Abuja.

The Mega cultural festival transcends a simple cultural celebration. It is a potent reminder of the immense potential that lies within the cultural heritage. The 2023 Labour Party Senatorial Candidate, Southern Kaduna was a guest of honour, Engr. Micheal  Ayuba Auta, has said that the Cultural heritage and tourism potential of Southern Kaduna is vast, and events like this would help to showcase the region’s endowments to the outside world.

Engr. Michael While speaking in Abuja at the commencement of the festival, said he  was confident that the Southern Kaduna Festival would not only provide  day of fun, excitement, and cultural displays but will also catalyze economic growth in the FCT 

He said “It is with great excitement that I stand before you today on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the first Southern Kaduna Festival in Abuja. The festival is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Southern Kaduna and promote intercultural exchange among the 56 Ethnic groups 

“ Engr. Micheal believes that all lives matter, and this should be our standpoint in Southern Kaduna. We must respect each other in the region and those outside of it, regardless of differences in backgrounds.
In a world that often emphasizes our differences, events such as this provide us with an invaluable opportunity to recognize and celebrate our shared humanity. I would like to take this moment to encourage all participants, spectators, and stakeholders present to embrace the spirit of unity and respect for one another. The incredible force behind the Mega cultural Festival, Mr Titus Musa Awanson , Chairman , SOKAPU Abuja Chapter. This Mega Festival , a testament to his passion for celebrating and fostering Southern Kaduna heritage on a global stage.

In a world that often feels increasingly divided, the Southern Kaduna cultural Festival offers a beacon of unity and possibility. It is a chance to celebrate the richness of  Cultural heritage, ignite the next generation of creative minds, and forge new connections across communities. 

 The event was a vibrant celebration that reshaped the cultural landscape, one dazzling display of culture and innovation at a time.

Titus maintained that, the Southern Kaduna people's Union is a multi - cultural, Non- religious, Non-partisan and non- governmental Organization with over 56 ethnic Nationalities across the 12 Local Government in the part of southern Kaduna. 

According to him , " we are gathered here to celebrate the richness of the culture that make up our vibrant communities. This festival has been put together in recognition of the power of culture in fostering togetherness, understanding and unity in diversity. 

Over 60% of the population of southern Kaduna is made of youths below the age of 30 years. Unfortunately, due to the insecurity that bedevilled our communities for over 10years, most of the youth have relocated to the City center in Abuja.

To reestablish the youth, we have established the Guarara Development Foundation Focus on skills acquisition, business mentoring and developmental initiative, and the Guarara Multi- purpose Cooperative society focus mainly on financial Empowerment and investment. 

 In order to support these youths in FCT , today fundraising is key  component of the Cultural festival. He urged the well meaning sons and Daughters of the Southern Kaduna to support the initiative to take them out restivenenss, poverty and criminality. 

Engr. Fidelis yakubu said we have come here to unite as one family to promote the culture of peace and unity.

On promotion of the  language, he emphasised the essence of language furtherance which leads to ethical rebirth and value re-orientation among citizens.

He appealed to parents and guardians to promote  culture and history at homes to enable younger generations to imbibe the values embedded in them

The heights of the event was the  displayed of cultural dance, Art, food and Traditional music, and as well fundraising.

Among the esteemed personalities that graced the occasion are;  Titus Musa ,  Samuel Ambi, Comr. Faruk Datsama, Mathew panga, Danjuma James, Talatis Shamaki, Bulus Lucas,  EVANG David Jinang, Michael Maigari, Simon Peter, Chief Kenneth Boman , Billy Madaki, Samuel yavong, Gowon Adamu Haruna, Engr. Andrawas Maina , Fidelis Yakowa, Zacharias A,  Gaius Jibo Bitrus, Stephen Bitrus, Paul Tanko, Timothy Matamaki, Bege Afoi, and marina Mathias 

The event was more than just a milestone celebration of the rich cultural heritage; it was a testament to the unwavering support , Commitment and love that has been extended by Ethnic Nationalities, family and strangers alike. The connections made, the conversations had, and the beautiful memories created resonate deeply with everyone present, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished for years to come.
