NGOs sign Partnership To enhance CPR Awareness and Training in FCT, As Nigeria Marks 64 Independence Anniversary.

In Commemoration of Nigeria's Independence Day, Hikmah Foundation and Face of Joy Charity Organization has  announced a strategic partnership aimed at increasing awareness and training on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in Nigeria. 

This initiative is designed to improve the survival rate of individuals experiencing Cardiac emergencies in Nigeria. CPR , Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency procedure that can save a person's life. It's used when a person's heart stops beating , also know as cardiac arrest. When that happens, it can't pump blood to the rest of the body again. 

Two non-governmental organisations, Hikmah Foundation  and Face of Joy Charity international Organization, had  signed a partnership deal to enhance CPR Awareness and training in FCT -Abuja Nigeria. The duo have begun grassroots sensitisation to avert the ongoing Slump and Die scourge ravaging human health in the country. 

In the maiden programme on Tuesday, held at the Sapeyi of Garki Chiefdom, in Abuja being 1st October 2024. The groups said the partnership is to raise  health awareness and economic empowerment project as a joint organization. 

 The partnership and collaboration will  open up to two objectives. Firstly, Nigerian citizens trained in CPR and basic vital check-ups will screen out health related problems in the society such as heart diseases and high blood pressure.

Secondly, it will lead to employment and a direct massive campaign against poverty, also,  tools such as blood pressure machines, will be given to trainees on completion of training to help them to use in public spaces and empowered to solve their basic needs. 

During the community engagement and Press conference, the Executive Director, Face of Joy organization, Dr Ezinne Ijeoma said the organization will jointly organize CPR training workshops for residents of the Six Area Council, business owners, and Community leaders in FCT. These workshops will provide participants with essential skills to administer CPR effectively during emergencies. 

Noting that, the Partners will conduct outreach campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of CPR and its potential to save lives.These programs will target schools, places of worship, palaces and public gathering areas.

Ezinne called for government support and involvement, private organization and business community to come for collaboration and partnership to support  the campaign project of "Say No To Slump and Die'.' 

Dr. Ezinne, with the massage of Joy has done exceptionally well in promoting access to health care in several Countries like,  Kenya, Uganda, Liberia, Indian, Pakistan and Rwanda. 

The paramount ruler of Garki community, HRH ALH. (Dr.) Usman Nga Kupi, who was present during the community engagement, pledged to work closely with the organizations to deliver the said mandate. While expressed satisfaction and thanked the initiative of Apostle Ezinne for bringing the crusade closer to his people.

Usman expressed gratitude for the initiative of the NGOs and pledged to collaborate with local authorities, healthcare providers and community leaders to develop a holistic strategy for effective implementation.

He recognized the need for a language interpreter to be trained as a multifaceted approach that would help deliver the mandate to his people.

He described the visit as a crucial step in empowering the community and fostering collaborative efforts to address the pressing health and social issues affecting Garki community. 

He emphasized the importance of private initiatives like face of Joy in partnering with traditional rulers, the government and other stakeholders to promote human welfare and collective well-being.

He urged Nigerians to embrace the issue of health with seriousness “You cannot leave it alone for the formal government to take all the work. This private initiative is a welcome idea to add value, promote and create collective welfare.” 
Ambassador Hannatu Usman Nga, founder, Hikmah Foundation, who signed the laudable agreement in the presence of esteemed guests and her handsome husband HRH Usman Nga Kupi, expressed satisfaction as every thing was done based on verifiable performance and antecedent of the founder Face of Joy Charity Organization.

While speaking, dwelling on the integrity and confidence to push the agreement to the higher height, reiterated her  unwavering commitment to excellence and to promote health awareness. 

Hannatu charged the participants and the general public to value the health gift and awareness that Dr Ezinne Ijeoma led Face of Joy Charity Organization brought to good people of Garki.

She maintained that invitation are open for the general public to come for registration as the training will be impactful, meaningful and mind-blowing.

This milestone agreement and collaboration has underscored their high level of  commitment to excellence and  the demonstration of passion for humanity.


The event was more than just the signing of partnership agreement between the two NGOs; it was a testament to the power of unwavering support and love that has been extended by friends and strangers alike to move the ambitious Vision of the partnership, implementation and sustainability. The connections made, the conversations had, and the beautiful memories created resonate deeply with everyone present, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished for years to come. 

As the event unfolded, it became evident that the contract  was more than just a milestone; it was a testament to the power of passion for humanity in building a shared future for community emacipation from bondage of ignorance, and its ability to bring participants together in joyous camaraderie. The overwhelming response from the attendees, who left the event fulfilled and yearning for more, spoke volumes about the success of the program and the anticipation for future engagements. 
The success was the testament to the power of collaboration and the handshake of friendship that was established by the duo in creating a leadership splendor for  Global Health issues and awareness for the rescue of communities from wrong mindset.

The presence of His Royal Highness, ALH.Dr. Usman Nga Kupi and his Council member added an extra layer to event.
