Ekama Austin Bags Honorary Doctorate Degree Award From Emebry-Riddle Varsity

It is yet another enviable milestone for Ekama Austin Eguono, as he has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree from the foremost Emebry Riddle Aerounoutical University, Daytona Beach, Prescott USA

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University is the oldest and largest aviation-focused university in the world.

The awards ceremony was an unforgettable event, which brought together influential leaders, change-makers, and stakeholders from various sectors to honor the awardees. 

The Memorable ceremony which took place in Abuja being 21st September, 2024, at the prestigious National Merit Award House Maitama, further reinforces Austin's commitment to excellence and his role as a thought leader in shaping the future of Security operatives in Nigeria 

Ekama was adorned in the prestigious robe by the Embry Riddle aerounoutical University while he bagged the Honorary Doctorate Degree Award of Security and Intelligence  

 The security high-profile expert , Ekama has consistently demonstrated unparalleled expertise in security intelligence, and human management. His work has earned him widespread respect and admiration among peers and industry leaders alike. With this achievement, Austin solidifies his position as a leading figure in security management.

However, the latest Honorary Doctorate Degree holder , Austin didn’t forget to give all thanks to the management of the Institution for recognizing his efforts in the service to humanity 


While speaking with newsmen on the sideline of the event,  Austin lauded the University and the organisers of the Peace, Security and forensics study  for celebrating his diligence and service in nation building.

Dr. Ekama said Technology is key to tackle insecurity in the country 

He said the honourary doctorate degree in Security and Intelligence bestowed on him, is an  inspirations to do more in service to humanity.

Dr. Austin is a dynamic and versatile professional of many sides with over a decade of multi-sectoral experience.

"He  is a pragmatic professional with a unique blend of expertise in security integrity and intelligence 

"He, therefore, urged the awardees to see the honour as a ‘higher calling’ towards deeper commitment to peace building in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.

Earlier in his speech, the Director  General Security and forensics studies Nigeria, Dr Amb. Okocha Morgan, said the Award recognises individuals who have contributed immensely to nation-building, through peace-driven initiatives, education and youth empowerment.

“We are building a movement involving all sectors of the society that promote peace and unity in Africa. There is no better time than this to honour outstanding personalities like you, so together we can build a global partnership for peace,” he said.


The event was more than just a celebration of Honorary doctoral degree  Award ; it was a testament to the unwavering support and love that has been extended by friends and strangers alike to move Nigeria Security system forward in terms of policy formulation and implementation.
