Hannatu Musawa Unveils New Initiatives at 54th Art, Culture, and Creative Economy Summit In Abuja

The Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa has officially launched the 54th edition of the Art, Culture, and Creative Economy Summit (CCES) on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at the Ajuji Greenwich Hotel, Abuja.
Under the Minister’s leadership, the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has organized this pivotal event to advance the culture and creative economy sector in Nigeria. The summit featured the presentation of the Minister’s roadmap for the sector.
Barrister Hannatu while addressing the Newsmen described the program as huge success that will open up the unique opportunities within the creative industry.
"She said the legacy project is about to kick up in various states, in terms of Economic expansion through harnassing the potentials and unique particularity of each state, which is the first of it kind.
The summit has created an opportunity for us to create the synergy and handshake between the stakeholders in subnational to collaborate in fostering creative Economy that will birth the hidden uniqueness of each state
"She maintained that, the ministry is in collaboration with the federal and state government to do a handshake to open up opportunities of each state that will boost economic development and jobs creation
Harnessing the unique particularities of each state will lead to economic sustainability and development as well solving the issues of unemployment, kidnapping and banditry
"We are looking into the holistic framework to tape into the great potentials of the local community to unlock opportunities for them, it is a legacy project that will enhance future generations, she added."
Key stakeholders, including Commissioners and Directors of the 36 States Councils for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy/History and Culture Bureau, FCT Council for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Sister Parastatals, have graced the occasion
The 2-day summit featured presentations from various agencies on their strategic roadmaps, as well as innovative ways to unlock financial resources for the sector by multilateral organizations and funding partners.
The summit represents a significant opportunity to further the cultural and creative sectors , driving both economic and social progress in Nigeria
As the event unfolded, it became evident that this year Culture and creative Economic summit was more than just a milestone; it was a testament to the power of cultural creativity in building a shared Sustainable future for Nigeria and managing uncertainties and its ability to bring Stakeholders together in joyous camaraderie.
