Yekini bags Global Peace Ambassador Award, harps on Integrity

The Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management Nigeria,  non-sectarian, non-partisan, nonprofit organization which promotes an innovative, values-based approach to peace building, has conferred on Dr. Yekini who is a Multi-award-winning expert in  Peace building and conflict resolution  “GLOBAL PEACE AMBASSADOR  AWARD” in recognition of his contribution to national peace, societal stability, and human capital development and empowerment.

 Ambassador Ali Yekini worthy of being awarded particularly after receiving testimony of his commitment to promotion of peace and helping humanity, IGPCM said. 


The  prestigious Global Award Ceremony took place at Nigerian National Merit Award House, Maitama Abuja on Saturday 11th May, 2024. 

It was learnt that “ Peace Ambassador Award” is the highest calling and most outstanding recognition to individuals whose life exemplify the ideals of living for the sake of others,  and who dedicate themselves to promote universal moral values and the establishment of a cultural value system predicated on trust and peace.

Saturday NEWSWAY reports that  the beneficiaries have laboured continuously to reduce conflicts, advance social bonds, and establish  Community Relations, peace building programs and connections amidst diverse communities in Nigeria 

Organization statement said, Global Peace Ambassadors “Within this illustrious roster of 45 Most Notable Peace Icons in Nigeria,  we encounter a rich shade of leaders, economists, financial experts, sports personalities, religious leaders, industrialists, entertainment entrepreneurs, traditional rulers, activists, thinkers, and creators who have transcended boundaries and overcome challenges to leave in-erasable legacies.


Receiving the Award  Dr. Yekini expressed his delight and appreciation for being considered and awarded by pledging to not relent in his pursuit of human capital empowerment, promotion of national peace.

Aligning with  the lecture theme of the day, Ambassador yekini  encouraged the government and public office holders to not relent in the pursuit of peace, unity and national development, stressing that no meaningful national development can happen in the absence of peace and unity. 

Renowned for his expertise in Humanitarian services, Ali yekini’s Award comes as a recognition of his commitment to peacebuilding, advocacy for good governance, and championing of Conflict Resolutions 

Speaking on the recognition, while addressing the journalists said, he feels honoured by the Institute of Global Peace and conflict Management  for this recognition.


“The culture of peace and integrity is a value I have upheld my entire life. This recognition simply encourages me to keep doing what I do best.

“I commit to the responsibilities this Ambassador award brings,” he said.

In his remarks, the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, emphasized that the prestigious honor bestowed upon these recipients was a result of their positive track records and outstanding commitment to peace. He urged the new ambassadors to always uphold the principles of peace and Nigeria solidarity.

"He emphasized the importance of setting an example as pillars of peace and ambassadors of the organization in Nigeria.



As the event unfolded, it became evident that this celebration of Peace Ambassador Awards, was more than just a milestone; it was a testament to the Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management in the Establishment of Building mechanism and Conflict Resolutions strategists for the shared future  and its ability to bring Awardees together in joyous camaraderie. The overwhelming response from the attendees, who left the event fulfilled and yearning for more, spoke volumes about the success of the induction ceremony and the anticipation for future engagements.
