Workers' Day: NUAAE Calls on Labour Minister, NLC And HOSF, To Caution Mohammed Aminu Yusuf's Ultra Vires Conduct

As Nigerian workers  join their counterparts globally to mark International Workers’ Day, commonly known as May Day, the Nigeria Union of Agriculture and Allied Employees (NUAAE), has urged  the Honourable Minister of Labour, Head of service of the Federation and NLC president to call , Mr. Mohammed Aminu Yusuf  ultra vires conduct  by instigating intra Union dispute in NUAAE.

The Union further expressed that, Mr. Yusuf  supports lawlessness, breaches of union constitution, sabotages ministry of Labour and professional conduct. Also, accused him of not being forthright in the discharging of his professional responsibilities, disobedience to Court of Appeal consent  judgment.

Comrade, Aniedi Ekpo Deputy National President Said, " we are fully behind NLC  demands  for salary increment, he stated this while addressing the NEWSMEN on behalf of Comrade Obafemi Oyenubi, the president of the Union
The Union , urged the government to address the worsening poverty, insecurity, unemployment, inflation, high cost of living and frustration in the nation.

Newsway Media Understands that, the May Day was full of lamentation as many workers call on the government to be more assertive on the welfare of Nigerian workers , government should eradicate slavery employment policies that dehumanise Nigerians in their fatherland.

The petrol subsidy is purportedly gone; yet its impact lingers – revealing the ineptitude of the current federal government. 

“In an unprecedented manner and condescending of both the Nigerian worker and the general public, this current federal government announced a unilateral removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit without consultations with representatives of the Nigerian worker.

“The continued increase in tariffs in different service offerings without addressing the corruption and inefficiencies in the system only amounts to long-suffering Nigerians subsidising the corruption and inefficiencies in the system.”

"The cost of living has been criminally high, unemployment, poverty and insecurity of life and property are just beyond description. The  experience of this year was really bad.”
