AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Emerges Governor of the Year

Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was on Wednesday honoured with the Exellence Award by Police Community Relations  Committee as Governor of the Year Award for his investments in policing, general basic amenities and prudent management of resources. 

The chairman of Nigeria Governor's Forum was recognized for his outstanding and immense contributions to the development and progress of  policing in Nigeria,  PCRC and Humanity.

Tied to the several achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq , especially his responsiveness, investments in security and preferences for pro-masses policies and programmes, the award was announced on Wednesday by police Community Relations Committee 

The National Award of Exellence was bestowed on him at the Nigerian National Merit Award House Maitama, Abuja.

Wednesday Newsway Media Understands that, the  PCRC extolled the commitment of the Governor to reposition the state for growth and investments in security 

“The Governor has, since his  second tenure , charted a new course for the state on all fronts. He started by focusing attention on investments in security,  education, primary healthcare, rural and urban roads, water and sanitation, gender inclusion, youth engagement, citizen engagement, and efforts designed to open up the government for public scrutiny and accountability."

“As a leader, he has run a lean administration and has led his team with his signature simplicity and tolerance for opposing views. For confronting the security and economic challenges of Kwara State through his determination to turn arund the state positively and free the people from the shackles of poverty, thus making it possible for citizens of the state to feel the impact of governance after years of neglect, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is PCRC Governor of the Year 2024."

Governor Abdulrazak is an achiever per excellence,  he has done the Renovation of schools and rehabilitation of roads, prompt payment of staff salaries, reaccreditation of the Kwara State School of Nursing and Midwifery and Colleges of Education, heavily subsidised healthcare for the poor and vulnerable, restoration of tap water to the state, especially the capital city Ilorin, graft-free payment of bursaries and scholarships and successful mainstreaming of women inclusion in government.

Receiving the Award, on behalf of His Excellency, Mr.prudent Thanked the organization for the special recognition accorded to the Governor. He said this award is a tonic for our Governor to do more. And he will deliver a lot more to make Kwara work for all of its people.
