FIRS Chairman, lauds Female Accountants, promises Sustainable economic beyond revenue compliance

The Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Dr. Zach Adedeji has disclosed that they're promoting a more inclusive and sustainable economic landscape beyond revenue compliance.
He made the disclosure during the Annual Seminar for the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN) held in Abuja on Tuesday, at Merit House, Maitama.
The chairman who was represented by the Director of Taxpayers Services, Dr. Loveth Ononuja said " As we embark on our journey to enhance tax administration and voluntary compliance, we are implementing targeted reforms aimed at simplifying processes, reduces Bureaucratic hurdles and ensuring fairness and equity while truly being focused on our taxpayers.
" These reforms are not only vital for achieving our revenue target N19.4trillion this year but also for promoting a more inclusive and sustainable economic landscape beyond revenue compliance.
The Chairman acknowledged the roles played by women accountants in driving efficiency, transparency and integrity in financial management as the service is committed towards supporting and empowering them.
" We recognize that collaboration with interest parties such as the society of Women Accountants of Nigeria is essential for the success of our initiatives.
" Your expertise, insights and advocacy are invaluable assets in shaping policies and practices that promote accountability, professionalism and ethical conduct in tax administration."
The FIRS Boss calls for collaboration to build a tax system that will not only meet revenue targets but also fosters economic growth, social development and prosperity.
