Accolade, As Adesua Oni Bags Focus Africa's Leading Emerging Women Award , Charges Nurses to aim for greater heights

Celebrated business leader, Health Coach expert and CEO of Pregnancy Support Foundation,  (Nurse) Adesua Oni   has been conferred with the coveted award of leading Emerging Woman of the Year 2024 at the prestigious  Focus Africa  women forum Awards ceremony held on Saturday April 27th at the  Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

Pregnancy support Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving all-round support to the pregnant woman. A place of education, enlightenment, rest and relaxation for women and men within the child-bearing age bracket .

The Focus Africa women forum   through its Global and Sectoral categories, annually recognize outstanding business leaders and organisations in Nigeria for their sustained commitment to excellence in enterprise.

The Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja served as the perfect backdrop for this momentous occasion, where esteemed guests, including  our own Honourable Susan Lokpobiri, Amb. Angonimi David -Imeh, Barrister Esther and Eghonghon Egbedei  joined in the festivities. Their presence added an extra layer of significance to the morning as they shared profound insights and re-ignited the Spirit of Enterprnurship within every attendee.

 The organization  acknowledged Mrs Adesua oni’s proven exceptional mentorship excellence, evidenced through the advantages women get, innovation, flexibility and profitability of her multiple chain of businesses in addition to her vast pregnancy program , which help many women across the globe .

Adesua, CEO steppedup Academy,  an online platform where she educates, mentors and coaches registered nurses and other health professionals for extraordinary impact beyond the bedside. She advised Nigeria Nurses to aim for greater heights

In her response,  Nr Adesua said it was humbling to be recognised “for the work that we do across cities and communities in our dear country, Nigeria. My life’s purpose is to provide quality health services and ensure the safety of pregnant women.

“As a firm believer in the greatness of Nigeria, in the strategic purpose of God for our nation, and in the power of women to rise above stereotypical and inhibitive norms, cultures and traditions, I am inspired by this acknowledgment of our modest efforts at making a difference in the lives of our citizens,” assuring that “we can only do better, progressively.”

"Helping the pregnant women  is at the heart of my  journey. Otherwise, I should have signed off long ago and retired to a quiet life. But living to improve the lives of others is a more rewarding life-purpose, which I am grateful to God to be useful for.” 

While thanking the  Focus Africa women forum for the honour , "she said this will spur me to do more.

Joan who is the Author of several Books has urged  Nigeria Nurses to sustain the attitude of hardworking. The essence of this award is to encourage women to dare scary heights in every area of life.

"Noting that,I am not really out to compete with the male gender or be  female activist,  I just want women to aspire for greater heights, she added".
