Nigerian Institution of Civil engineers confers fellowship on , Engr. Olugbenga Oremodu.

The Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, NICE, has conferred its prestigious distinguished fellowship on Engr. Olugbenga Oremodu, the staff of Shell ,  in attestation of his standing as a foremost practitioner among the cadre of Civil engineers in Nigeria.

In a statement issued by the NICE, the engineering flagship Institute said its elite fellowship grade was conferred on Engr. Olugbenga Oremodu because of his track record of exploits, flow line construction and achievements in the civil engineering field over 25  years, adding that it was an honor well deserved.

 In a grand ceremony held in Abuja on Saturday, Engr. Olugbenga Oremodu was among the many personalities that was presented award of fellow of the Institute.

The event organized by Nigerian Institution of Civil engineers, the 8th Engr.( Rev ) Ette I . Ette Annual Distinguished lecture, theme " National challenges and mass Migration of Nigerians; reversing the trend ".

The award  and conferment was presented by the National chairman of the Institution, Engr.V.C. Ezugu, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of civil engineering. This accolade not only celebrates his remarkable achievement but also underscores his pivotal role in the industry, marking a turning point for civil engineering standards in Nigeria.

Engr. Chukwudi Ezugu commended the awardees on their unrelent efforts to ensure that institution continue to wax stronger and be at the top. He urged them not to relent on their contributions towards the development of engineering profession adding that they should use their experience to contribute to technology development in the country.

Expressing his gratitude, While speaking with NEWSWAY Africa, Engr.Olugbenga Oremodu appreciated the Nigerian Institution of Civil engineers for counting him worthy of the award, he promised to continue contributing to the development of the Institution and engineering profession.

Engr.  Olugbenga Oremodu, While noting that professionalism was the way to go, he promised to continue to uphold the integrity of the profession and professionalism in the country. Also stressed the need to deliver project with safety in mind without casualty, safety is my goal, he added.

The event, beyond its celebratory nature, served as a testament to Nigeria’s pursuit of positive change and renewed hope. As the nation craves progress, Engineer Olugbenga Oremodu’s award stands as a beacon, inspiring future generations and encouraging a shift toward international standards in the realm of civil engineering and construction.

The event was not only a platform to honor Mr. Olugbenga Oremodu but also featured side attractions , adding to the beautification of the remarkable ceremony.

He dedicated the award to his wife, children and the family at large . He also salute all his senior colleagues in the profession.
